Hello, I have been reading a few of the posts on here, What a brilliant idea, so thought I would like to join in. I have been at target for about 18 months after loosing 3st.. No it is not easy to maintain but this is the second time I have joined. I reached Target kept within, for a couple of years then stopped going for weighin and a year later had put most of the weight back on. Now I am determined to keep going to class and keep the weight off.
I am a veggie so do mostly Green.
I noticed Mug shots mentioned, I know the police take these but didnt know you could eat them!!!!Please can you tell me what they are?0 -

Hi Mary, welcome to the thread. Well done on keeping the weight off, if I ever get to target, it WILL NOT go back on, and I know to do that I will have to go to group every week.
Mug Shots are like a cuppa soup. You will find them in the soup section of the supermarket, and you can have any of the noodle ones as FREE on a green day. The only pasta one that is free is the tomato and herb. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Thanks Charlies_mum I will have a look for them when I go shopping next.
The only way to stay at target I am sure is to keep going to class as in your minnd you know you cant cheat. I have some dreadful days but try not to let it gointo the next day.0 -

We were out looking at sofas this afternoon and then decided to go on to the park and get some snacks. The kids & DH had crisps, I thought I'd be good and had a packet of Salt & vinegar Snack a Jacks. Came home and worked out the Syn value as I couldnt find them online and they come out as 6!! I'd've been better off having Wotsits like the kids, they were only 5.5
They're made by Quaker
25g bag 5 syns
30g bag 6 syns
French Fries are always a good bet 4.5 syns per bag0 -

Hi
This is my 2nd attempt at Slimming world and i rejoined last week.
I am having a real problem using all my syns for the day, I know that I am allowed between 5 and 15 but my average for the day is about 5.
I am not denying myself anything, I dont drink or eat crisps but my downfall is chocolate. It is my addiction, I cant eat a chunk and be satisfied I need to binge, hence the reason i am overweight.
I have been avoiding all chocolate and satisfying my sweet tooth with grapes and yogurts. Oh and alpen light bars.
It is day 5 day today and i have had 3 green and 2 red days. My totaly syns today were 7, most of them on sweet potatoes (red Day) I just love them.
Will my lack of syns stop me loosing weight? I do eat a lot, lots of fruit and veg. I am not restricting my food at all, just avoiding chocolate.
thanks0 -
last summer i made my own lemonade. i boiled the zest of some lemons, squeezed the juice out, added some sugar and then put about 25ml in a glass and mixed it with soda water. if i made it with splenda would it be free? i know you're meant to syn juice, but surely if you mix it with water it's only the same as no added sugar squash?0

Aw, thanks Amie:A xxx
Actually, last night I had SW burgers and I made SW coleslaw to go with them. It was delish. Not keen on horseradish so I added a bit of mustard.
Off for my favourite form of exercise - the shops:D!!! Have a great day everyone:beer::smileyheagpuss0 -
Not going to WI today, as I usually go at 10am and as it's Bank hol there's only one meeting today, at 6.30.
But I've just weighed myself at home and by my reckoning I've lost 3 or 4lb this week so I've reached my first stone! Can't wait to have another good week and then have a fabulous "official" weight loss next week!!
Looking good weather today so going to make some home-made Minted Lamb Koftas to have on the BBQ later with loads of salad!
Hope everyone has a good day
