I will have to see if I can get down there, I have put some on my Tesco order on the 2-4-£3 but it will still be cheaper at farmfoods.......

findingmyownway - that sausage recipe looks lovely. I might give that a go. It looks free to me and would only be the gravy to count or free with bovril.

I bought the bovril chicken jar..is this what makes chicken stock? I couldnt find cubes or vecan anywhere

You can buy Vecan in health food shops. I got mine in Holland and Barrat

Morning all, I think I've got that body dysmorphia thing, except I see a slim person in the mirror and get a rude shock when I get on the scales!

Well, not quite as rude now, thank goodness ;)

Managed to do an hour in the gym yesterday, first time for two weeks as I've been doubled up with this blessed cough and couldn't walk upstairs without setting myself off. And then I'd have to run for the loo too :o ... oh, the joys of having had two huge babies

    Sorry, TMI!

Alyth, how tall are you, if you don't mind me asking?

    Hi Consultant 31
I just have a general query.....
I have bought some Holland and Barrett High strength Herbal iron liquid. Ive been feeling run down and my mum suggested I try this.

    HOWEVER
Im conscious this could be a hidden syn. I have used the syn calculator but got a result of 37.5 syns per portion?!

I think I have entered the info wrong and also it doesnt help that the syn calculator is in grams and this product is measured in mls!! so here is the info from the product

    Per 100 ml
    Energy 298 kcal
    1245.6 kj
    Protein 0.49mg
    Carbohydrate 74.1g
    Fat not detectable

    Product size 250ml
Im meant to take 20ml a day.

Im also keeping a food diary this week and so want to be as honest as possible and dont want to hidden syn so any advice you can give would be very much appreciated.

Don't be nervous about the weigh-in, its the first of many! Some people do lose quite a bit in the first week as the body has had a bit of a shock!

Can someone PM me the password please.

I would also love to see some curry recepies. I suppose chicken korma and peshwari naan isn't very low syn though :o

Kebabs with a big salad would be nice though.

Ive had my yoghurt and pineapple for breakfast which was yummy. Tesco delivery tonight with tons of fruit and free yoghurts. Also going to make the thai veggie thing from jan magazine this weekend.

Are tinned tomatoes free? I make a lovely sausage casserole which i reckon should be quite low syn. Can anyone advise....

    sausages (i can use quorn)
    1 tin tomatoes
400ml gravy (i could use bovril to make free?)
    mushrooms
    peppers
    onion
    mustard seeds
    coriander
    2 red chillis

Fry mustard seeds, chillis and onions. Add mushrooms, sausages, peppers and cook for a few minutes. Add tinned tomatoes + gravy. Simmer for 20mins or so, add coriander near end of cooking time.

I reckon this would be free on a green day so could serve with jacket potatoes and veg??

Your sausage caserole sounds yum yum yum. thanks for idea :D
