  • I too have written to Companies House objecting to the striking off. This is what I wrote to their enquiries email address...

Your contact centre has informed me that JBC International Accounts Ltd, reg. no. 06368862 has applied for voluntary striking off as it had not traded for 3 months to 22 march 2010.

I object to the striking off of this company for the following reasons:

    1. I am in contract with the company for 13 months starting from 6th October 2009
    2. It has not honoured its agreement with me and is in breach of contract for which I am claiming against them
    3. The company cannot be contacted at its registered address by the Royal Mail because the company is not known at that address and no officers are present
    4. Within the 3 month period prior to 22 march 2010 I have interacted with the company and they did not inform me that they had ceased trading or intended to cease
    5. I am suffering significant financial loss and believe them to be operating a fraudulent operation

The officers in the company dealing with me have included Mr James Newman, Mr Paul May and Mr Gareth Hughes, although I believe these names to be false.

I attach a copy of the letter before action to which the company has not responded and the 13 month money back guarantee agreement.

Please inform me of the action Companies House intends to take regarding the striking off application and if you require any further information from me.

Does anyone know the best way I can claim back the £3995.00 I paid to JBC for a trading programme that does not work?

I have tried to contact these scammers.

I paid on my credit card but they have passed me onto Conumer Direct.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    hlb442.

I presume you have followed the steps above reporting the fraud and objecting to companies house, JBC have been running two similar scams in Australia and following being reported, are now under investigation.

My opinion is that if we all follow the same strategy we might get results.

On the subject of credit cards put "charge back" into your search engine, you will find the step by step process listed and because JBC have ceased trading we qualify for this little known section of the regulations. It will be a lengthy process but, its all we have at the moment.

If anyone has success, no matter how small, please share it with the rest of us. United we stand............................
  • Looks like we have had some affect, I have just been informed that JBC's application for Voluntary Strike-Off has been suspended, this is good news, keep it up folks!
  • Don't even go there. I thought I'd done enough homework on this and found two other sites praising the software (HomeBiz and Sharesweek) but both these sites have recently disappeared as well as the JBC site.
The programme simply doesn't work as I found out to my cost and if you do a little background work and look at legitimate share sites most companies selected are either not performing, under performing or going nowhere.
You will also get caught to paying out another £180.00 to welikedata, which has a tendency not to be working overnight, just when you need it to. Actually overnight trading is simply daft as the market is so volatile during the day that you really need to be checking on your stocks throughout the trading day, something that not everyone can do.
Happily I didn't get caught for the full EIGHT GRAND but my stocks are down by around 25%.
Essentially I got mugged by my own stupidity when EVERONE I spoke to about this told me not to do it.
I have received a brochure from the above organisation (based in Old Broad Street, London) suggesting that a realistic income can be gained through their system. There is no indication of the level of investment required to earn the quoted £20k pa.

    Few questions :-
    1. Has anyone heard of them before?
    2. Is anyone using their system?
    3. What is the initial cost?
    4. Does it work?
Their website does not give many clues and the only way to get further info is to phone them but it would be nice to be armed with some background info before I do.
    Many thanks

  • Unfortunately I fell for this scam also. Why are we so stupid!
I found all the stuff on the internet far too late.
I subscribed in March 2009 and have lost a reasonable amount on my deals.
I was getting support, well I could contact them, until February 2010. Then they disappeared and all contact numbers were switched off. I wrote to them a few times at the registered address in London. Surprise no reply.
I paid by credit card and I have since made a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. If you paid by this method the credit card company are jointly liable if you can prove you are not receiving the service promised.
I have just received a letter from the credit card company saying they will refund my purchase price £3,995 at the end of June 2010. They have to give JBC 30 days from the date I requested the refund from them. Apparently the credit card company request a refund from JBC's bankers and there bank chase them for the amount.
If my refund arrives at the end of June I will be happy!!
I am happy to share with people the correspondence that I have drafted to get to this stage.

has anyone got the four digit code needed to install the software, want to move to another computer but the company has gone "thankfully", however i would still like to run it. tks for ant help
  • I am glad to say that after many letters and 3 months of trying, my credit card company provided a refund for the purchase of the JBC Trading software. I think the result was due to the fact that doubts were removed after JBC had applied to companies house to be struck-off as they had not traded since January 2010, hence they could not possibly provide the service offered and the 13 month money back guarantee. I hope others are successful too and that these fraudsters are ultimately locked up!
  • Hi all, great news, I have also received a refund by my credit card company, its been 7 months, many letters and some down times but for anyone else in the same situation "don't give up". I have to express my thanks to all on here who have given encouragement and support, and a special thanks to Damien Clyburn who gave me the momentum to continue. Best of luck to everyone still in the process.:j
