Brought husband a Samsung E1200 from Tesco but is locked onto Tesco mobile network. He wants to be able to use his gig gaff sim card in it...is there anyway of getting this unlocked without having to contact Tesco and pay however much they will charge?

    Thanks

Vodafone wanted £19.99 to unlock my PAYG Huawei this week. Got a code (actually they sent 4) overnight for £4.99 from https://www.mobileunlocked.com - unlocked at first attempt, easy peasy. OK not free, but £15 less than Vodafone!

And go to the above site via GiffGaff as they give a discount that way.
  • I used this one on my Samsung GT-S5230W:

    Model: Samsung S500
    *2767*3855#

And it totally worked!! I did forget to write down my phonebook before it reset everything though, haha :D
  • Can someone please give me a code for a Casio C718 IMEI 358765-04-8198184 thank you so much

I always thought this was 'sim-free', but I sold it today, and the customer can't get her Voda sim to work.
It works fine with my Virgin, so I'm wondering if it really is locked to virgin.

how do I confirm either way, please ?

Shame you can't just wave the ban hammer at them :)

  • Hope I'm ok to post this here. My brother is giving my son his iphone 5 for Christmas as he's just had an upgrade. My brother is with Vodaphone and my son is with O2 (well the contract is in my name).

Can anyone advise? If I went to one of these phone places on market stalls would they be able to do it for me?

    TIA
