Free codes for Unlocking Phones OTHER than Nokia's Thread 3

Hi I have an old blackberry, well not that old, a 9780 I think from my previous employer. They didn't want it back when I left they just gave me a recycling address to send it to. I never bothered with it because when I had their corporate vodafone sim it stopped access to social media sites.

However my current personal phone has expired and I am now wondering if I get it this blackberry unlocked (it does need unlocking) whether I can then get full access the phone features and full web access without the corporate sim blocking them. Also will my old employer get "electronic wind" of it somehow and be able to block me from using it in any way?

Appreciate any help.

It can be unlocked, but not for free. Have a look on Ebay, someone with a good feedback, but will cost about £50
