The installation fee was because there wasn't an active line (bit of a con really as there was a line there, it just needed turning on!).
This is something that might be worth asking your landlord or estate agent about as it has been known for them to pay for it but only if there isn't cable already there!:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
Property is out in the `wilds`...I don`t think sheep & cows have much call for cable!! There is a BT line in so guess I`m stuck with it & I`ve been on website it seems a bit of a `con` to pay £125 to switch user.
Sky offer something similar so I`m checking this out but not sure if I can put dish up..I`ll have to check planning.
I`ll getting into money saving!! thanks for help

HI AngelSo_Sad_Angel wrote: »Getting off point here but is it poss to get sky, broadband & tel all as one package ...Trying to do new SOA when I move to rental (just done references etc so should know in next week) . I hope to get the basic package...any ideas???
Yes we have sky, broadband and sky talk it starts from £16.00 per package and for that you get a variety sky channel I think 8meg broadband and unlimited evening and weekends calls. You still have to pay your landline through BT though which is around £13.00. We have the family package for sky which is everything but films nad sports, 16meg broadband as kids download loads and unlimited telephone calls this all costs £59.00 i know it sounds a lot but it is a lot cheaper than having them seperate. If you look on Sky website you can set it all up through there. Good luck with references youll be fine I may need hand to do my SOA when I do my forms. Hope all is well for you if you need anymore info you know where I am.

Hi guys
well got the van for my removals bit big wont even go under car port. Just want to get on with it now. It has been torture these last few days waiting for it to happen, but nearly there now. OH been in tears cos where we live is where he was brought up and he dont want to leave. Still dont know if we are doing right thing but we are going to lose house in the end anyway so i think it is best to do it now rather than prolong the agony. Are we doing the right thing? Had a few whiskies tonight feel worse now for drinking better not take my antidepressants tonight or i will never get up. Let you know how things go when I am back on line.

We have Talk Talk, it's £16.36 a month for phone and broadband and you don't have to pay line rental to BT on top
, free evening and weekend calls to. We then have the £21 Sky package on top which has everything but movies and sports. BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Diane,
You are moving tomorrow...nothing can change that now...go & see it as an adventure. You will laugh about it in a few weeks time. These feelings today are just about `moving on`
Have a great day!! Angelxx0 -
Evening All...
Just an update seeing as we are talking about moving..
i have put a holding deposit down on a house today. Spoke to LL and EA first regarding poor credit report - possibly...EA said it would be at LL descretion. So spoke to LL who said she isnt bothered about the report as she has only recently split with husband so im guessing similar problems as not fussed about report. As long as i can pay usual bond/deposit and rent...she didnt want anymore upfront or long term arrangement - so im looking at a 6 month agreement to start with.
I will update as i go along as im talking all my docs in tm, i think i have everthing to had already since sorting my SOA out..
i am very happy and as i've already mentioned to some it has put my faith back into human kind that there are some out there who look beyond reports etc and look at the person themselves.
Lets hope my report isnt mixed up with a murderer or something!!
Dave.

The area we have moved to is really nice but a lot of houses near us where the owners obviously have a load of dosh, but never mind it makes me sick. thought I would treat myself today had my hair done dont go that often and consideing the price I now know why!!! How are you all any news on house or BR front anyone Hope you all well I have missed our chats, had probs with broadband so if I go again will be back.
Hugs and stuff
