Hi there. Hope you dont mind me high-jacking your thread but were in pretty much the same position. Mortgage, secured loand and a failing IVA. Im on the sick atm so insurances are paying mortgage and loan. Probably going to file for bankrupcy in next few weeks.
Just dont know what order to do things in to ensure we can find somewhere to rent, as probably wont be able to keep our house once insurance payments stop in October. Also baby on the way!
Dont want to go BR then in 6 months get repossesed and have nowhere to live. Cant pay motgage and secured loan and save up at the same time for 6 months advance rent. Not paying IVa as a 6 month break has now just finished and still off work.
cant sleep at night for the stress and worry!!
    Help please.

    Hi Jet,

You'd be better off starting your own thread, repeating what you've said here :) There's more chance of more people seeing it and being able to advise you further :)

Just go back to the main forum and click on the "new thread" button and away you go :)

Hi Scarlett1974 Been to look at a house today very nice and not bad price either the only thing is they asked for employers references and a reference from someone who knows if we are good payers. Did you have to do that? We are going to look at another one tomorrow who requires credit checks. Unfortunatly being in the situation we are in we have defaulted on the unsecured loans, no CCJs but I was honest with the lady and told her that we had defaults, she seemed to think this would be OK. Also the houses are through letting agnets and we have to pay for these checks. Just hope we dont fail them as you do not get your money back. Anyway we are going to get rented and go BR. I keep looking at our finances but cant see no other way out. Got to let go I think. I dont go to church but keep paraying but get no answer!!!
    Take care;)

    Hi dialysis :)

We didn't have to do that no, but only because we paid 6 months rent in advance.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I have a feeling that the credit checks for going into rented aren't as strict as 'normal' credit checks for a loan or CC, because the day we went to sign the tenancy agreement, even though we'd missed payments on our mortgage, SL, debts etc..... (3 months on most) the LA told me that I had actually passed the credit check

Hi Scarlett. Started my own threrad. thanks. Just a quick few questions if you dont mind?
What happens if we go bankrupt then our house gets repossesed, I mean with the secured loan?
Also if you are not BR yet should you still expect to need 6 months rent in advance, we are in IVA at the moment.
My brother lives with us and would probably be moving to rented home with us, will they take his earnings into acount?
Also another worry is that I'm not going to be back at work probably until middle next year. So am worried about this.
Do you think that if I stopped paying my mortgage and secured loan when my insurance is paying out I'd get in bother over this for fraud or something similair?
Sorry!! Turned out to be a few more than I started with, lol
