Bought some bacon today....£1.38 on the shelf, £1.58 on the pack!
Went to CS and got my refund!
Also bought some beef...18 packs......6 for us, 6 for my mum and 6 for my gran! 900 points and my mum and gran aren't bothered about the points! They paid for their own beef (nearly £8) so its an even better bargain for me!
yum yum! my potatoes are on the boil!0 -
Tesco Blackpool refunded me today on two smoked gammon joints (£8.48 ea but £7.98 on shelf). BUT cs lady "observed" that I had obtained other refunds on previous occasions and listed my previous purchases back to me. She also retained my receipt and insisted on having my name and address.
Anyway, have sent an email to Tesco Head Office about this and will report back when I get a reply!
Thanks to all posters on this!0 -
tee hee hee, I feel like a naughty school girl
Went to tescos today to get something for lunch, thought I'd just check out the chicken etc and show my sister what I had been going on about lol, found some bacon:
Smoked thick cut (six slices) pack £1.90 on packet £1.66 on shelf label, (unsmoked was £1.90 with £1.90 on shelf label).
So promptly picked up two packets and a fresh loaf of bread so we could have bacon butties yum yum.
My sister came with me to the CS just to see what happens and the woman bless her was lovely really polite and helpful, I went with her to show her the difference and she came back and put the money back on my card. Hubbie is not overly keen on the idea but it didn't stop him eating it!
Will keep my eye out from now on but wont make too much of a habit of it, every now and then is enough for me.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

Tescos deli counter in Windsor, had Smoked Flavoured Cheddar and Mature cheddar mispriced £6.58 on pack/ £6.38 on shelf and £6.08 on pack/£5.70 on shelf. So I picked up two of each (as my parents were staying over). After a long wait at CS got a £7.89 refund without question and was told that they quite often don't get sent the new shelf tags on time. However the £5.70 price tag was hand written so should not taken too much effort to update. This was the first time that I have taken advantage of their over pricing policy but I will be looking out for more (vegetarian) misprices from now on.

Tried this for the first time today and managed to get the bacon rashers, bacon joint and cheddar cheese from the Horwich branch in Bolton. Refunded in cash (£22) without much fuss. We did notice lots of other cheese mispriced too, but thought that would be too greedy!
Many thanks for postings. :TNow thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -
New thread started here for discussions, so we can have a healthy debate w/o cluttering the finds thread"There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

Just out of interest, how did she know what your previous purchases were?
Good question! I'm not sure that she'd served me previously or, if she had, then it was only on one of about 4 or 5 previous visits to the cs desk over the last few weeks. They must have a written record of who's been refunded for what that is shown to all cs staff. Also, she's either got a good eye for a face or they've been looking at cctv footage. Or am I just getting very paranoid.
Either way, I feel a Lemon Sole visit coming on. If they want to limit use of this policy then they should do so publicly not by trying to individually embarrass customers. The amount of refunds I've had are a tiny fraction of what we actually spend in Tesco...0 -
I'm going to have to ask again if you could all please keep this thread on topic. The bargains are getting lost amongst the discussions and that just makes it really difficult for people to find what they are looking for. Thanks0
