i managed to get 2 packs of bacon today, £2.49 on the shelf, £2.89 on the pack and it went through the till at £2.89, also some somerset brie, £7.30 per kilo on pack, £6.89 per kilo on the shelf, but the best part was that when i went in i thought we would have a nice cake for tea tonight and picked up a raspberry roulade ( loads of cream and very naughty !!), these were reduced from £2.99 to £1.99 as they had todays sell by date, and she put it through the till at £2.99 , so i got that free as well. Yipee !!!

I found so many mispriced cheeses and packets of bacon in my local store tonight. Can't believe I never looked for these before, I get the feeling I will never be paying for cheese again :-) I got two packs of cheese, pack price £3.65 shelf price £3.49 and one large pack of Harrisons smoked bacon 24 slices, pack price £4.42, shelf price £3.49. I decided that I would double check the prices when they went through the till, I got a but flustered and thought that I had made a mistake and almsot of the lady to remove them then decided that I would pay and go and double check the shelf price, good job I did keep them now I have two big free packs of yummy cheese. I just gotta learn to keep my cool and remember the shelf price.

The CS people were a little put out but I think it was more to do with the fact that they had had to deal with a very nasty family a short while before who had made one of the CS guys cry! Understandably they were on edge, the lady tried to give me the difference back but I pointed to the very little sign attached to the till and said that I had just read that I would be getting a full refund, she muttered something and then refunded the money back onto my card, wonderful! Thanks guys :-)

Just popped down to my local Tesco Express in Cherry Hinton. Had a look at previous posts but couldn't find any exact matches. Found Tesco Farmhouse Extra Mature Cheddar 240g priced on the pack as £1.84, though on the shelf priced at £1.75. Bought 2 packs, took them to customer services and got my money refunded straight away. The manager took the price off the shelf but was good while I got away with it. Does anyone know if you go to a till and ask them to price check the item before you buy it, so you know that it will scan at the higher price to be able to get the refund later?

    Take Care, Adam.

Bought some Poppycock (popcorn stuff in the snacks aisle) tonight - and this was overpriced at £2.99, when the shelf-edge said £1.99. I didn't even know until after I'd paid - so a nice surprise there for me!!!

Popped into a bigger Tesco store in Fulbourn tonight, not Extra but still 24 hours. Had a look along the cheeses they have and again, a lot of wrong prices listed! Here's what we found:

-- Tesco Healthy Living Low Fat Cheese 250g. Priced at £1.99 on pack, but £1.94 on shelf.

-- Tesco Skinless Chicken Fillets Fresh Class A. Boxed marked as £7.79 p/kg though shop shelf was £6.75 p/kg. This one depends on store to store as we found that the item was on offer/sale on another aisle, but not all of the stock had been moved, so some were still placed with the original pricing. NOTE: These are on offer as "Buy 2 for £5". *I think* to be able to get your money back, you need to buy only one as the till will take it off as £5 rather than the marked packet price.

We ended up buying two lots of cheese and a pack of the chicken and took it to CS. She wasn't happy! (Though we had been there the night before complaining of an offer which was no longer valid as we had gone through checkout at exactly Midnight!).

Yep my tescos in Lincs had cheese prices and some bacon joint prices wrong. I went in having not decided whether to take advantage or not then saw that some ice pops I brought yesterday where on bogof but I didn't get the other one so I was cross, lol.

I went to the chicken but it was all priced correctly so was the bacon. But small bacon joints were priced by a penny or two more by weight on the pack than on the shelf tab. Also there was quite a lot of cheese wrongly priced ( you just need to spend a minute or two checking). Some where a penny cheeper per lb and some where a penny more per lb so I just couldn't bring myself to get one.

however they have a buy 3 for £3 offer and some of those cheeses as mentioned above are priced incorrectly they are £1.24 on the shelf label but quite a few of them were £1.25 (remember not to get 3 of them though otherwise you'll be charged the correct offer price).

so my first attempt at taking advantage failed I don't think I could do it if the kg/lb was wrong but the £1.25 I would have brought but didn't really fancy any of the cheeses, will keep my eye out when I do my big shop next week though.

ooo, be careful with the wensledale. i picked up 2 of the 1.25 ones, plus some overpriced chedder, then tootled off to CS for my first foray into getting free stuff from tescos. I hadn't checked my reciept and they'd gone through at £1.24 anyway, despite saying £1,25. so no refund on that. at least wensledale is my fave cheese!
Got a refund on my cheddar, but i think she only refunded 3 not 4. damn. she wasn't too nice about it either. think i'll got to the big tesco's next time.
ah well, some free cheese, some not free.

I popped into Tesco last night and I picked up a large smoked gammon which was marked at £8.48 on the pack but £7.98 on the shelf edge. It went through the till at £7.98 so other MSErs beware. I'm glad I only picked up one.

Slightly more luck with a prime lean pork shoulder joint that was marked at £2.68 per kg on the product and £2.68 per kg reduced to £2.65 per kg on the shelf edge. Wen through the till at the higher price. Went to Customer Services and after some discussion I got a refund and was able to keep the joint. All for the sake of a 9p overcharge.

My first refund and replace :D today!!! What an adrenaline buzz, can't wait for another.

It was the Medium Cheddar, £4.96 per kilo on the shelf, £4.99 on the pack, in my local Tesco Extra (Whitstable, Kent). I know this one has been posted before. Some of the packs had £4.96 on them, but I found 2 with £4.99.

Asssisstant disappeared for nearly ten minutes (!) then returned with supervisor who kindly explained that the packs had different prices on because they were different weights. I counter-explained the reason for my refund request and she said, "Oh, I see what you mean now" Yeah, right! Then she offered me a refund but no cheese. By now I was a little cheesed-off (sorry :D ) but stood my ground firmly and left with £6.06 clutched in my sticky hand.

Next time I'll be checking all the meat ...

Have finally managed to get a result as my local store in Cambs has never had the misprices others have found (perhaps they are reading this thread!)

Picked up a pack of Tesco Blue Stilton - shelf £6.47, pack £6.70
Noticed at the checkout that I had been overcharged for the Kingsmill Wholemeal (93p on shelf, 98p at checkout)

Told CS that I had been overcharged, they went and checked and refunded without any fuss
