Started reading this thread last night, did three Tescos today and got 3 pork shoulder joints and a smoked gammon joint (total of £28.02) for free :rotfl:
Thanks a lot for all of the info.0 -

Hello - new here.
I got four pieces of medium cheddar from local store today - shelf-edge price £4.96 pk, pack price £4.99 pk. CS lady was NOT happy at all, and pointed out the different was 1 penny a pound. She did refund though - £10.79 altogether. BUT - she took all my personal details - do they normally do this? Just worried I'm about to face a ban, like the poster in the other Tesco thread.
The only other thing I could find that was the wrong price was lambs hearts, and since I have no idea what to do with them, I didn't bother. Everything else was spot-on - or dearer on the shelf-edge that the product.0 -
could we keep this thread on topic, please guys. I understand the outrage at the treatment that Tesco have given to some and realise that you do want to discuss it, but there is the thread on Shop but don't drop already covering this and it would be best to keep the discussion on that in one place.
Otherwise the bargains will get hopelessly swamped and lost amongst the discussion and Grabbit is for the bargains after all0 -
They took away the shelf price when I got a load of chicken thighs but went back the next day and the night shift had put the incorrect shelf price back up !! This happened two nights on the trot so worth checking again.
Got another £21 refunded again last night, 2 large packs of extra mature cheddar, 2 packs of healthy living chicken breast fillets and 2 large packs of back bacon, be careful of the gammon which although priced wrong on the packet, goes through at a lower price, found this when i bought 2 but still kept them, couldn't think of a reasonable enough excuse to take them back. Breast fillets wer packs of 5 or 6 and over £5 per pack, cheddar was not a per kg error but actual pack price was higher then shelf price, about 3.76 i think and back bacon was both smoked/unsmoked back bacon. It seems to be quite random to different stores and best occurrs when price changes happen which is not on a set night. How long will this carry on before before they withdraw the policy ? I think a little call to the press if this does happen as obviously they are still blatantly overcharging people.Up the Rams !!0 -
My Tesco has bogof offers in the freezers for certain ice lollies, big signs right the way across and on top of these signs are displays of Sun Lollies (the ones you freeze yourself)On checking which lollies were included in the offer, Sun Lollies weren't mentioned, nor could I find a price for them. I'm sure they must have been placed there deliberately to mislead.
Also bought some bacon yesterday, £2.18 on shelf £2.27 on pack. Went to get a refund and assistant came back with a pack correctly priced and said there were two different shelf prices for the same item, only difference was the sell by date. Went back to check and realised I'd missed the small sign saying £2.27, right next to it was a much larger sign saying £2.18. The bacon behind the signs was a mixture of both prices. Again very misleading and probably deliberate.0 -

THANKS
There were 8 errors in my local (city centre) Tesco - just on the cheese alone so it may be best to spend a minute or two checking. They had put the wrong price back on some cheese I had refunded last week.
Large packs of Medium cheddar - shelf £4.96/kg, pack £4.99/kg
Wensleydale (and two other types same size). shelf £1.24, pack £1.25
as I say there were loads of others but I don't recall them. No doubt they will still be mispriced next time so I'll make a note.0 -
I bought a Tesco fashion necklace on Satuday, in Wigan, that was marked up as £7, but when it went through the till it came up as £7.97. This wasn't a mark down either. The necklace was a silver cross with a few embedded stones. Took it back to Customer Services and got my booty back.
They changed the price in store, but I would expect the prices for the store to be downloaded from head office. Maybe there are other stores out there with mispricing of necklaces!Nothing can compareTo when you roll the dice and swear your love's for me0 -

Yep my tescos in Lincs had cheese prices and some bacon joint prices wrong. I went in having not decided whether to take advantage or not then saw that some ice pops I brought yesterday where on bogof but I didn't get the other one so I was cross, lol.
I went to the chicken but it was all priced correctly so was the bacon. But small bacon joints were priced by a penny or two more by weight on the pack than on the shelf tab. Also there was quite a lot of cheese wrongly priced ( you just need to spend a minute or two checking). Some where a penny cheeper per lb and some where a penny more per lb so I just couldn't bring myself to get one.
however they have a buy 3 for £3 offer and some of those cheeses as mentioned above are priced incorrectly they are £1.24 on the shelf label but quite a few of them were £1.25 (remember not to get 3 of them though otherwise you'll be charged the correct offer price).
so my first attempt at taking advantage failed I don't think I could do it if the kg/lb was wrong but the £1.25 I would have brought but didn't really fancy any of the cheeses, will keep my eye out when I do my big shop next week though.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
I had the Healthy Living chicken breasts from the Chorley store today - £27.25 refund, on two packs. They'd got everything else spot-on, though.
You'd think they'd be getting the message by now, woouldn't you?0
