Just got back from Tesco at St Helens tonight. They had the Nestle Finesse cereal on the reduced shelf tonight and on sale for £1.74, they also were the ones with the Joey DVD and £3 voucher. I bought two and only noticed when I got home that I was charged:-
Finesse cereal £1.74
Finesse Cereal £1.74
Discount for BOGOF - £1.74.!!!!
I'm well pleased, two boxes of cereal for £1.74 and £6 in Joey DVD vouchers.
Didn't notice how many were left, but might be worth a look if you going in there anyway.0 -
Just managed to take advantage of Tescos Refund policy.
Bought 2 multi-packs of Harris Unsmoked and 1 Smoked Rindless Back Bacon (4 x 200g) having noticed that the shelf price was £3.78 whilst the packet price was £4.42. Went to CS desk where the Tescos Refund Policy poster was not on display. Informed the advisor of the overcharge who subsequently removed the labels from the shelf and refunded me £13.26 without any hassle. Good customer service indeed.
Also noticed the 2kg Gammon joints with a shelf price of £7.98 and pack price of £8.48. This did scan at £8.48 on the in store barcode checker but I preferred the bacon. However, beware as they scanned thru at £7.98 at a previous Tesco I visited despite having £8.48 on the label which led me to request a straight refund.
Hope that helps someone.0 -
Love this thread - keep up the good work moneysavers. Went into our favourite store today and nearly bagged the biggest freebie ever. Saw a Acer laptop PC with £495 on shelf, but a price of something like £695 printed on the box, next to the picture. Took it to the till for a price check and was told it was £597!! Unfortunately it was the last one on the shelf, I didnt have my credit card with me and (unusually) the assistant was on the ball and took the label off the shelf 'to look into it'! Still if it happened in one store it could easily happen in the others, though I can imagine the fight I would have had to get them to adhere to their own policy with a refund of that much.0

Might be worth a trip tomorrow If I can think of anything else to go up for. Bit suspect getting a price check but difficult to take to the self scan I guess
Can you imagine if this one came off.........they would do everything to weasel out of it.0 -
