I doubt it, and not if they put the same effort in to checking prices as *some of their customer service.

Ben - I bought some of those £3.50 Khaki trousers the other day in Pompey - so cheers!

Yeah good shot! I thought they must have fixed it, which size did you get?

You always get some good bargains in Tesco and you also get errors on some of the prices. But then the workers at Tesco are only human like all of use and errors are made.

hi john269, I don't feel guilty by taking advantage of their policy, and here are my thoughts:
    - when Tesco does overchage us by 10p or 20p per product, its only 10p or 20p for one customer. but look how much money they make by overcharging all customers who buy these products.
    - when I used to be overcharged I always was upset and in most cases didn't go back. I guess Tesco can afford to do such policy.
    - their staff in most cases give us a hard time - even if we are right.

Dear moneysavers please don't beat me :) BUT I think that Tesco should withdraw this policy and make sure that no mistakes take place.
Have you got something to share - Do it.
When you don't know - Ask.

please can we keep on topic, guys. This thread is just for posting the items you have found. There is a discussion on the policy etc in this thread in Discussion Time where you can discuss the rights and wrongs and other aspects of this. Thanks :)
  • Hi, this is my first post but I'd really like to start by thanking you all for the great thread! I was never aware of this policy before and with your help have almost been banned from my tesco - for getting 1 meat and 1 cheese a few days later! Apparrently no one has ever tried it there before and they didn't appreciate me doing it!

However, visited tesco extra last night and found Bush set top freeview box, pos £29.97, scanned at £34.99. One for me and as mum was with me, one for her too!

Thankyou all, hope some of you find them too :A

P.S. this was refunded no hassle. All that fuss over a slice of brie! :rotfl:

Don't forget their Raincheck policy too. If there's something on offer and it's out of stock they should give you a voucher to get the item at reduced price when back in stock. Even if it has gone back to original price.

  • Hi all:

This morning I picked up 6 :T smoked bacon joints priced at £3.44/kg but £3.42 on shelf!! Newbie CSR tried to offer me a smile and say its only ~3p difference per product "would I like to return the hams". I just quoted the huge "If it doesn't add up" poster 4 ft behind her. She was unsure about her authority, cleared it with the fresh food manager (incidentally who informed all the local stores about the discrepancy before OK'ing the refund).

This discrepancy was posted earlier but just to let you know its still occuring.

Brilliant found the pork shoulder today 2.68 per kilo on pack 2.65 on shelf. Bought two one for me and one for my sis. Refunded no problem. Also used a Joey and bought two more Fitnesses with Joeys meaning that Tesco paid me 9p in actual money to take all my shopping away but in advantages i.e. points, coupons etc. equated to £10.77 paid to me to take all of my shopping away plus obviously all of the free shopping ;).

Am having a carvery for Sunday lunch chicken, pork shoulder and beef in gravy!!! Yum :rotfl:
  • I have finaly had an answer from ASDA on their Policy regarding overcharged customers - I have cut and pasted it below

Subject : Response from ASDA (Ref #000000009597631)

    Thank you for your message.

I appreciate your comments about being overcharged; it is important to us that
we are consistent with our pricing. Should a customer be overcharged they are
entittled to that amount back together with a gift card to the value of £2 by
    way of an apology.

I hope that we can look forward to welcoming you back to your local Asda store
    again soon.

For further correspondence regarding this issue, please reply to this email.

    Dear Asda,

Can you tell me what your current policy is towards customers who have
    inadvertently been overcharged?

    Many thanks

    Thanks save4arainyday.

Maybe we should now have (perhaps you could start) a thread for misprices at ASDA. It'd be nice to find some small items.

I was overcharged there a few weeks ago but didn't bother going to CS as I didn't think it was worth it. They had primula (tubs) at 2 for £1.50 displayed...but I was charged as normal. Had I known about the £2 I may have gone for it. Cheers.
