The basics stock cubes don't appear to be there anymore? I ordered some last week and they sent subs so is this the end of the road for them?

Another basics product that I like are the bags of basics peppers, which I think are £1.30ish? They're really nice peppers and you generally get about five or six, which is a bit of a bargain when one loose one is 60-70p. What's really nice is that you get a mix of red and green - the Asda ones tend to be just bags of green peppers.

£1.42 and yes, a nice mix of colours. We have just made a lovely home-made pizza with the mozzarella ball, some Basics Chicken strips and the peppers (dough made in the breadmaker using the Asda 29p Hovis bread mix!). Bloody delicious!

The tortilla chips are definitely fine, especially if you are having them with dips.

Our store isn't as good on the pepper front. The bags usually have mostly green and one or two (if lucky) yellow.
    Looking forward to the future.

I've just remembered another lol :) I like their basics white and red onions too. They're a bit small but they're great, and so much cheaper than the full sized versions.

I'm an avid fan of Sainsbury's Basics- I can't believe I didn't find this earlier! See below for some I would definitely buy plenty more of and really enjoy:

Sainsbury's Basics Ginger Snaps - basically ginger nuts. These are new and are totally delicious. A real crunch with a good ginger flavour. Perfect with tea! Probably my favourite biscuit.

Sainsbury's Basics White Chocolate and Strawberry cereal bars
I would not hesitate to get these again, these are wonderful Great with a packed lunch and surprisingly full of flavour. They are quite sweet, but this is the boost I need in the morning to get me going for work!

    Sainsbury's Basics Toffee cereal bars
Again, another great cereal bar. The toffee isn't chewy and didn't get stuck in my teeth, unlike other toffee cereal bars I've had, but a great taste.

Sainsbury's Basics canned peaches in juice
Used to be peaches in syrup. These are lovely! Peaches , which are sometimes a little over-ripe (No problem to me) in delicious grape juice. Half a can counts towards 5-a-day. I'd get these over anything else.

Sainsbury's basics chocolate chip cake bars
Another good lunchbox one, or nice afternoon treat with tea. Golden soft sponge cake bars with chocolate chips. The sponge and chocolate are of great quality. Nothing particularly fancy or complicated, but the beauty of these is the simplicity and of course the lovely taste. Individually wrapped too!

Sainsbury's basics curry sauce (Jar) / Long-grain Rice (Pack)
A delicious, mild to moderate spiced sauce with an authentic curry taste. has vegetables (I can't remember which, and you can add your own too of course) and is low fat. Not thin in consistency, and makes a wondeful, tasty curry with Basics long grain rice. The rice is fluffy and tender when cooked. A fraction of the cost of a takeaway and much nicer tasting! The jar is unbelievable value at 12p (last time I checked).
    Moneysaver and proud :)
