Genie, glad I saw you. I bought some hand cream from Lidl today and it contains UREA - very very soothing as I have a lovely attack of contact dermatitis happening atm0

Thanks Jeannieblue, i feel such a numpty about it all....the Dr didnt give me any info really so when looking on the interenet it all looked pretty scary!! The facial redness is very mild and not that noticable so im lucky, but its strange that certain things that have been on my hands even hours before affect it...is that normal??
I will have a look at the link and thanks alot for that, i desperatley need to find a moisturiser!!!! Just wary of trying anything at all!!!! last time my face was burning and red after using Aqueous cream (excuse spelling if wrong). Thanks again i will have a look:wave:0 -
Suki - interesting hand cream Urea is allantoin I believe? If so, sounds like fishingwidow has a hand problem and that could help.
Fishingwidow - what suits one, does not necessarily help another. I'm not a spring chicken, or an autumn one really, but I had at long last (after many many years) found products that suit me. Took a bit of research! If it helps you, great - but no guarantees. And you have to be patient, takes a few weeks or more to see any results - tho the comfrey did calm my skin quite quickly - and once I had the hang of the mineral make up (thanks to advice re applying from the folk on here!) I had good coverage and it also calmed my skin and didn't aggravate it. Again, allantoin in EB's healing foundation helped enormously.
Please keep us informed, if what I use doesn't help you, someone on the thread may have recommendations that could help you. This is a lovely forum and we do try and help each other. So, Welcome!!Genie

Hi ya, i think i have got rosecea aswell.. my skin is always red in my cheeks and between my eyebrows, my cheeks are always very dry and the rest of my skin is oily.
I started using mineral make up two years ago and it is being great. i ve finally found something that works with my skin and seems like my skin is clearing up a bit.
Vitamin E ( the body shop) i use their make up removal, soap , moisturizer 15 spf and the night cream.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -

I have to put my hands up and admit the coconut oil is sat here - it makes me gag
Moisturiser Im using the Avon Botanicals day time. I tried the night cream but it doesnt suit me - it stings. So at night for a bit of extra I use either natural Vit E oil, a rose cream or ylang ylang oil or balm - whatever is closest to hand really and depends on if I have used the OCM that night or not
All in all the redness is nowhere near as bad as it was. Dry patches are very rare and the red usually gets covered with the mineral foundation, its been a while since I needed the green base first0 -
I found Barefoot Botanicals suit my skin best and they're very gentle. I use the SOS cream if my skin flares up and I use the rosa fina facial radiance cream as a night cream, as I find it a little heavy for day use but it really helped reduced the redness for me
choiceorganic.co.uk have the entire barefoot range at 20% off at hte moment, a great place to buy them!0 -
And of course sirtwist its only a coincidence that your only three posts refer to this same company?0
