Reception teachers swear by sitting kids who up chuck on newspaper on the school trip. Not for thr mess to stop the sickness

I've heard of that, apparently brown paper works too:confused:

Pigpen - travelsickness. Try sitting the puker in the front of the car, that way they look straight out the front window. Its usually things flashing past the car sideways that triggers the nausea. bit like the feeling you get on a fairground waltzer.

Feeding ginger biscuits before travel helps, ginger soothes the stomach. However ginger puke stains!

Failing that your GP can prescribe stronger stuff than you get at the chemist.

I can't sit in the back or I upchuck too.. so she has to go in the back.. plus we are going on the M1.. I hate that road.. I go to sleep!! lol

Ginger bickies it is then.. I think I'll end up making the GP appointment.. and one for DD3 with her nose! I swear she has adenoids like elephants!! She can't breathe through her nose, sounds like a duck gobbling sh-poo when she eats because she has to still breathe through her mouth and she snores like a hog!! and if she is even slightly ill she is deaf as a post!

I'll try to persuade her to sit on newspaper.. hey.. we are desperate.. we'll try anything!!!

My mother said she'd take the DVD player but I think that would make it worse TBH..

DS2 his my phone yesterday, after he turned it off... so just spent an hour looking fo rit which involved finally hoovereing under the sofa's and TV unit.

Found it in DS1's shoe.

Pigpen, my boys are great travelers and watch the DVD players that strap to the headrest, but DH is not so good and spoke to Hughy and Ralf after watching one of the screens on his lap. I don't think they are a good idea for bad travelers.

Nikki when me and my ex split up I was pregnant with DD1 and DS was 16 months so I thought the best thing would be for him to stay. But it was such a relief when he moved out 10 months later. It really forced me to get my life in order(wish he'd moved out straight away looking back). It was hard at first with a 6 month and 26 month on my own but I got there and I'm a better person for it. I promise it gets better.

poohbear well done on finding the ring after 12 years:j

Tesco arrived just as I had put DD1 and 2 in the car to go to swimming ( why do they always come early). So all my shopping is dumped in the hall, better get it moved or DH will fall over it when he comes in.
