I have 11  new baby cards to make for my NCT class and friends and relatives that are dropping at the moment. I couldn't find any toppers that I liked in Hobbycraft so I brought some of these and I'm going to make my own with layers of paper.

What's the best glue to use to stick them (hard plastic) to paper?

this is the glue I have always used and still do for all my embelishments:

It dries clear and I glue all my gems etc and they always stay put. I use a cocktail stick to apply it, that way you can apply the smallest amount of glue. Personally me and gluedots don't get on  especially on small gems, but a lot of people love them.

polly - I've just done a handbag card. I stuck some black and white floral paper on, then added a piece in black shaped like the top of an envelope, added a silver button and some silver little gems at the corner of the black shaped piece and some peel off lines in silver going from the gems in the corner to the button (hope this makes sense)
I also added (OH's idea.........lol) some silver cord so it looks like a shoulder bag sort but don't know how to stick the cord to the spine of the card inside in order to keep it in place. I've got to stick it with something otherwise it will fall out of the card...........lol
Help !!!! I've done it to give ex foster girl and its her birthday on Saturday............!!

Thats what OH said to do but I'd got some double sided tape..........tried that and it didn;t work so I got some black ribbon, stuck that over the silver cord on the inside of the card to keep the cord in place, then I cut out a little ''luggage label' in a nice card with a sheen to it, stuck on Happy Birthday with a few bits of silver peel off twig types I'd got.and a ivory ribbon at the top to it looks like it's tied to the black ribbon (all that bit is inside)...so its all done. Think I''ll use ribbon next time............should have thought of that in the first place............lol
It looks quite classy.............not dissimilar to yours, paper is almost the same.
Glad you showed us that. I'm always running out of ideas. Thanks:T

I have now found you on here, and it's great to see very like minded people. I have been making cards for a couple of years now and scrapbooking too. I love making my own cards as it's very theraputic.

I have put two of my cards for children on here so you can see what the sort of thing i do............. hope you like it...........
