Saveapenny - sounds like you have a great little business going there. £350 from xmas cards alone - WOW! I wasn't sure whether there would be much of a market for homemade xmas cards when you can get boxes of them so cheap in the shops.0

People always seem to want something differnt expecialy for the special cards at christmas.
When I send the box in to works I also put in plastic sandwich bags for people to send back cards that they want things adding and I get requests for kiddy cards ..really simple cards that look like the kids have made them for grandparents which always go well an take seconds to make
I also put in name plates such as Grandma, Mom, Dad, and various others so people can add tehm to cards the like.
I was thinking about making box sets this year with 20 cards in for various occasions that people could give as pressies so far I have made 1...lolIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Ok, I know I said I wouldn't have time and I really don't but I've made 3 ATCs. Mine are very basic but I really enjoyed making them and quite like the finished result. They are so dinky!
The black dotty one is taken as I've made it for the OH - known him for 11 years this month
The middle one is taken also - made it for Melissa as my papers and embellishments came from the bargain £10 K&Co box of goodies Melissa posted about a couple of months back - thanks once again
The other one called 'hello' is up for grabs so if anyone fancies swapping with me - please let me know.
Hope you like them. They aren't very artistic and I know that's the point of them :rotfl: but I'm not artistic - can't draw, paint...:rotfl:

I am going to sound silly now ... what are ATC's?

Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
I have sat and made my first 3 cards tonight. The 2 baby ones are for friends back where I used to live who are due in 2 weeks and 4 weeks, the other one is just a pretty one to see what I could do and I have no idea what I will use it for but I am sure I will find something.
Can you tell me if I have done anything wrong etc?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Artists Trading Cards are little pieces of 'art' made by someone and given to someone else. Before you say it, I know mine arenlt exactly pieces of art but hey I managed it with my 18m bundle around my ankles trying to nick my glue

Wow Rusty, fab first cards. You are a girl after my own heart, simple non-cluttered designs but so effective. Well done you! You must be really pleased with them :T
As your floral one isn't for anyone in particular you could always add a greeting if you wanted to at the top (?) when you know who your giving it too - Happy Birthday, Get Well etc. My fave card is the BABY one but I do love the flying things on the flower one - are they dragonflies/butterflies?
So are you itching to make more? Bet you are! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
rainmac, those are gorgeous! Hoping to make mine tomorrow (If I don't go to my Dad's)
And lovely cards too Rusty, really bold embellishments.A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
