Oh Goody! :j Is this the day we get to see more people's hard work? - I hope so, this thread has been a bit quiet lately. Nice to see you back Polly, hope you're feeling OK today... I've done mine and had hubby problems too! What is it about them?! My decoupage card (its on 3 layers) was based on moroccan tiles and used peel off stickers and what a pain they are! A devil to come off the backing paper and really difficult to cut round! (That's why my picture is small, so you can't inspect my handiwork close-up! :rotfl: ) The problem I had with OH was I told him I was having problems cutting round the design with my craft knife so he decided to 'help'. His idea of helping was to go to the kitchen and find the biggest pair of scissors! Luckily I stopped him before he cut through the whole design! Men!

quiksave, this is beautiful! I am very impressed! I have seen the layered peel-offs but I haven't got round to having a go with them yet. Come to think of it, I'm sure I have some tucked away in my stash somewhere.

I haven't had the time (or inclination) to do my decoupage card yet but I may have a go tonight.

Thanks Mary, for this particular card I used the moroccan theme. I love the designs of Morocco - we used to have a lodger that married a moroccan, she made her room - our attic room, where she lived - look beautiful with moroccan artefacts. Quite sorry when she left really... I also look for ideas in magazines, library books, internet sites and the craft shopping channels. Ocassionally ideas just 'pop' into my head from nowhere! :D

Are we seeing any more cards today? I thought there were quite a few fans of decoupage on here...

I'mnot a 'fan' as such of decoupage mainly because I haven't done any till now..............lol I sent my cards to Polly to put on so I expect she will when she feels up to it.
We had some on early in the week though didn't we ?

Yes, you're right mary, I'll try and be patient... I don't usually put mine on till later in the week either so maybe I'm not used to waiting... :D What's next week's theme, can anyone remember? I might get ahead of myself for once...

thanks for reminding me qwiksave, I made this card on commission for a Turkish restaurant, all 70 of them and it was murder cutting them all out of the acetate, I agree!

and warning! flowery, sort of old fashioned decoupage card alert! I am not one for decoupage, but found a flowery sheet and my mum will love it, it's a thank you card for my new cuttlebug she gave me (and the tag was made with it)

and p.s. qwiksave, your card is lovely, really good, especially with the acetate background. I love those peel offs but it is hard work!
