Polly, they are gorgeous, love the embossing and the coloured peel offs. I forgive you for the teddy, it is not bad, it isn't dressed up or anything,

Loving the cards again this week, you are all so talented! :T

I've just stitched a new one for my friend who gets married on Friday. Hope you like it - took over 2 weeks of stitching in the evenings to get it done! Bit mad just for a card but it's for a really special occasion and I'm pretty sure it will be appreciated...



Thinking of maybe starting a new thread seeing if there are any other mad stitchers like me so we can share tips (money saving ones hopefully) and project ideas so I can stop boring you non-stitchers with my bits and bobs!

So glad you're back Polly, everyone missed you and the thread isn't the same without you (no offence to anyone else!)

Right, the boat card

I stuck some blue card on and added strips, in layers, of darker blue and white that I cut with jagged shaped scissors (they're meant to be waves......lol) I cut the cloud out of textured white card and layered one over the other.
The boats I made by cutting the shape out of coloured card and sticking it to the 'sea' part of the card.I stuck the sale (made out of semi-transparent stiff paper) above the boat and drew in a line for the mast then drew in a couple of seagulls.

The other card I used some round shaped decoupage I'd got with a small'kit' I'd bought. OH's idea was cutting the card in a sort of round shape to go with the decoupage centre piece. I'd already stuck some textured card on it,the card was pink so the inside of the card is the pink showing and the decoupage piece overlaps. I edged the different card with peel offs.(hope all that makes sense...........lol)
Nearly forgot...............I then added a piece of ribbon and a small tag and bow.
