Polly, great card, I've never tried iris folding but I love the colours on yours. Often you see iris folding done with all the same paper, but I think yours looks great using different sheets, I much prefer your way.
PAP you must show us a picture of your origami stars. I had a go at origami once, I was absolutely useless!!!! But I'd love to see your efforts! (And hello back to you!).
I think I might give the tissue paper card a wide berth - I haven't got any, and I haven't a clue what I would do with it if I had.0 -
I've got the tissue............lacking in ideas and motivation............
Is it decoupage next week ? Might have more success with that (she says fingers crossed and hoping..............lol)Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Hi mumoftwo is having problems with her internet so she sent me a card for my birthday so she asked me if i would post a pic of it for this weeks freestyle challenge so here it is0

Lovely card mumoftwo, I love the colours and I think its really clever how you are put the happy birthday greeting on the strip for the "slider" flower. Are the purple squares cardboard - they look thicker? Love the eyelets too, do you have to buy the special tool for them or can you improvise???????
Thanks Polly for showing us!!!0 -
Hi everyone mum of 2 love your slider card
Well i am really organised and have done my tissue card already
here it is
i cut a small card then cut a flower out and stuck bits of folded tissue behind and filled the centre with a bit of glitter card,i didn't realise this was called iris folding just improvised!! The sentiment is a rub on its actually purple & glittery but this hasn't shown very well the flowere aare bought bits with gems stuck on
polly- have you covered the "working" on the inside of your card mine was messy so i mounted the whole thing onm 3d foam pads
This is my first sold card too

Thanks melissa
I have always done some sort of crafty stuff knitting, sewing, quilting, crochet, itried scrapbooking once but found it too expensive because of all the special papers etc you need to use and the albums are expensive too, when i had my catering business i like to presnt the food artistically too, maybe i have a creative gene??? although i cant draw for toffee
PAP you have just reminded me i bought my son an origami set last year and he hasn't used it ..................i might requisition it
Shaz
I am determinrd not to let cardmaking be expensive we just can't afford it*****

Hi everyone,
Here is my aperture card. I used peel-offs and coloured them in, then printed a blue sky image from the internet onto photo paper and placed that behind the aperture. I then used foam pads to stick the balloons on, to give a 3-D effect. (That you can't really see in this picture!)
I hope you like it.
Hi chickadee wher did you get the sky paper download from??
I have to make a card with a plane on and liked the look of this
TIA
