Hi everyone,
May I be the first to present my male card for this week's challenge?
Here it is:
The scooter is actually decoupage, but it doesn't show up very well in my picture. I hope you like it. Its a bit boring, but I didn't think bits of bling were appropriate this week.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

chickadee - thats brilliant !!! And well done being the first one..........:T
pap - brilliant links.............thanks...........I could be sat here all night but better not....................lol
I'm getting a bit confused with what 'decoupage' really is..........been looking at some decoupage sites and found some where its a method of overlapping pictures to form a collage. Must admit, thats what I thought it was initially, then I found a site that shows it as layering the same image to give 3-D affect.
Can it be either method or is it a specific one ?
Hate to appear a bit of a 'dunce' with these things but I've not done one before.Mary

Mary 43, I am trying really hard to explain the different types, but I am finding it really hard. I have just tried to explain but it all sounds like gibberish! I'll have a think and see if I come up with something.
Great card by the way chickadee, I love the bright picture on the black background, very eye-catching.0 -
Right I have had a think and a ciggie (I know I shouldn't smoke). The first type is where you layer up parts of the image, so you distinguish things that are in the background and foreground of the picture. You start off with the whole image and then use smaller and smaller pieces of it. This is the type that I do, and the type that chickadee has used on her card.
The second type is where the whole picture is reduced in size each time. So say you start with the picture 4x5cms, the next layer would be say 3x5cms, the next 2x5cms. I really hope this makes sense!!!0 -
Thanks melissa. I'll have a go..........never done it before so dont expect miracles......................lol
(no you shouldn't smoke -but then, neither should I..............but I do............lol)Mary

Haven't been around much this week, but everyone's cards are great!
This is my 'Masculine' card. It isn't specifically for men only, but I made it for my brother's birthday so it is a Man's card IYKIM!:rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
