Thanks quiksave for the info. I have just had a look at PAP's website and I am very impressed. There is such a good range, and each card is very different. The site looks very professional too, I would not have a clue how to go about doing something like that, I have only just got to terms with posting threads on here!

Aww thanks melissa, Its not too bad really as most of its templates. I pay £30 a year + extra space a month to hold all my images. Its no to bad. Regarding your stickers I use the logo from my website (the cat logo) in a stamp, on the back of all my cards and I also have a paw print one. I get more use out of the stamp than a sheet of stickers., They cost me about £8 for the two on ebay.

Quicksave, chalk inks are my fave, just because they soften the paper, they can work out expensive though. As for the crafters companion I would say that or a basic envelope maker is a must for any card maker. Its far cheaper to buy a box of card for anything from £1 top £3 than it is to buy 50 cards and envelopes from anything like £7+. It is expensive as an outlay but you recoup your money no time.

Thanks again pap - I've just been watching the video about the craft companion, it does look useful but I'm not sure I make enough cards to justify the cost... (I'd also want all the extras so maybe I'd best not start! ;) )

After watching that, I ended up watching create & craft on their website, which then led me on to qvc. They've got a great new section of videos of 'how to' card making techniques presented by Dawn Bibby. There's videos on how to do decoupage, colour effects with dye ink pads, dry and heat embossing (Polly :D ) amongst several others, go take a look. I've been very restrained, I watched all this stuff and didn't buy anything! (Tho' Perfect Pearls look tempting!) - Could you? :D ....

EDIT: To find these qvc videos, look for QVC Video Centre on the QVC home page, then into 'Expert Tips' then select Dawn Bibby, Crafts.

Hi Polly, on the homepage here, http://www.qvcuk.com - look at the left hand side menu called Live on QVC: (grey lettering), its the last (6th) one down you want, QVC Video Centre. After clicking that, go to the tabs at the top (dark blue), you want 'Expert Tips' - then select Dawn Bibby, Craft. They are worth finding, there are some good techniques demonstrated and nice cards too.

I agree it has gone quiet here, we've usually got a few challenge cards on by now. I'm personally finding it quite difficult to do a male card and am on the lookout for more inspiration (hence the reason for looking at card making websites! :D )
