Gorgeous card rainmac!!!! I used to cross stitch a lot years ago, but I never used to frame my work, so I stopped and turned to card-making. Cross stitch is a fantastic hobby though, very relaxing!0

Rainmac, that is a lovely card, and exactly what springs to my mind when I see an aperture-type card. I think they were made for cross-stitch. Well done you!

I'm glad its male cards this week. Have Father's day, father-in-law's birthday, and grandad-in-law's birthday all at the same time! So I'll need to make loads. I always run out of ideas for male cards, does anyone else find them really boring or is it just me? I find that the stuff to buy is all really old-fashioned, especially the decoupage. I ordered some victorian decoupage at the weekend that's all in muted colours, so I'm hoping they will be suitable. Can't wait to see everyone's cards, I will need inspiration!0

I find male cards very hard unless there's a particular hobby they've got.
I'll not be doing a Fathers Day card as my Dads no longer with us........had a go at mine today and went for the 'younger person'............hope it'll be ok.Mary

Hi everyone,
Better late than never.........here is my card for this week. I done the painting in microsoft paint and then printed and laminated it (all at work!) and then outlined it to give a stained glass effect. Hope you all like. I've resized too in the hope that it'll come out a bit smaller on screen. I'll do my thoughts on everyone elses' in a moment. Also I think the plant in the background sets it off nicely(which was always the intention:D )

Okay dokey, Firstly I wouldn't have done a personal bit on everyone's cards if I'd known there are so many...and secondly, here goes...*wipes sweat from brow*
Mumof2 - Love the card. As usual it's really well made and wouldn't be out of place in any shop. The Polka Dots finish it perfectly.
Bridie - Very simple but beautiful. The colour scheme is very serene in and I like the way the window is to the right, rather than in the usual middle of the card.
Qwicksave - my personal favourite. I just love paint effects and the texture that can be achieved from it. (Your husband is funny, actually, are you sure we aren't married to the same man?!? Mine wouldn't notice if I sold the house from under his feet and opened a card shop!!:D )
Polly1976 - stunning card. The gems finish it beautifully. I absolutely love working with flowers (well, why not, there are so many...) and know that if I bought a flowery punch, I would have no life outside it, lol.
I can't see postingalwaysposting's cards
Mary - lovely card, would make an ideal wedding card. I liked the flowery/butterfly effect ribbon up the side.
Savvy - Firstly, chill out, your cards are lovely, lol! Nice colours and I'm sure that not only is the lady delighted to make it to 100 but will be delighted with the card too!
Melissa - beautiful. The colour scheme is nice and I like the way you haven't placed the little pink daisy's in the centre, but more quirkely (is that a word, lol) to the side. It's also soooo neat - which I'm jealous of!
Chickadee - wonderful idea with the balloons, making them 3D will give them the bit of movement which is so apt. I might rob your idea for the male card challenge:cool: .
And last, but not least, rainmac. This card for me is in a league of it's own. The only place it should be is in a frame. So much work, well done.
I hope I haven't missed anyones. I'm going keep checking in during the week and having a look at everyone's cards when they come in. I have absolutely no idea what to do for my male card. It's my Dad's Birthday this week, so I might do him a nice seascape. xx0
