well i took a positive step, havent eaten since 8pm, which is my new 'curfew' for food down my hatch
i did however keep going with 3 boiled sweets, which is good (i cant go cold turkey yet!) i desperatly wanted crisps twice, so this is brill on my way to will power
Well done jamtart - keep up the good work. That one small change (not eating after 8pm) alone meant I lost 0.5lb extra in a week!
Well done kyrob & markman on joint SOTW.:T
Vixarooni keep me up to date on how you are - hope that sharing the load did lighten it a bit for you.
Well, it looks like I'm spending this Easter at home alone with DS as OH is off to I33 in Newbury from Holy Thursday to Easter Monday and my wonderful mother has just informed me that despite inviting me to hers for dinner, she's now going to my brother and his partner's house. - nice eh?
Diet isn't going so well this week either - but them's the breaks. Hope everyone has a great week.....Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Raphael, look after yourself there and if the ankle doesn't get better with some rest then have it checked out won't you?Raphael, take it easy, surely it is better, to move less and have no or little pain than lots of exercise and lots of pain? Swimming if very good for the whole body and can be very toning. Keep at it but take it easy
Went to the gym yesterday morning and skipped the machines, went straight in the pool. Usually I do 10 lengths, have 5 mins in the sauna then another 10 lengths. I decided to do alot more than this to make up for not going sweating on the treadmill & I ended up doing 100 lengths!
I didn't notice the sign until I'd finished, that 50 lengths = 1km! So I swam 2 km (or 1 & quarter miles!) so much for resting :rotfl:
My ankle felt a little better so I will try the machines this morning. I will see how I feel after the bike & go from there. I'm going to buy a support bandage on Fri to see if that helps.
It doesn;t hurt when I prod my ankle, so I think I've just pulled the muscle or tendon or something. If it get's too bad I will see the doc, thou he'll prob just tell me to rest it.:rolleyes:Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

wow DK007 is it really that simple? Why didn't any of us thinkof that sooner?
yay Bunter, great news. Chart looking fab as ever, thanks Granny. Got a day out of work today - alas, I have to spend at a packaging show at the NEC. Oh the joy!
I've been getting really excited about gardening ths year - which is a bit premature as the weather hasn't really got to a stage wher e you can do much. I'm a complete amateur - last year I managed to grow some peas and keep some bedding plants alive all summer. This year I am getting more ambitious and growing some sweet peas from seed, I put some garlic and onions in the ground in sep and I'n hoping to also grow some spuddies, courgettes and tomatoes. Anyone got any tips for me? I know there s a green fingered board too, but I daren't get addicted to another board.
gald you are feeling better vix. Delly is v good at that, isn't she?0 -

Hi all - I've been hiding my head in the sand this week. I have gained and didn't want to report it (silly I know, but big gains followed by big losses look a big silly week after week). I guess I am effectively trying to maintain just now (but don't put me on the maintainence bit of the chart - that's very scarey). I promise I will post my weigh in results next week. Might be a gain still but a lesser one hopefully! Thanks for the chart granny.0

right tips for combatting midnight carb and sugar cravings anyone?
just in case pharmacist says there is a reason other than drowsiness that medication has to be taken at night ( i can be stuffed and still have to eat an hour or two after taking it, and we are not talking little snacks here).
I have started taking an apple and a banana upstairs at night. I take my last tablets at about 11pm and I am supposed to have them with food. The ones I take at 7pm give me massive cravings for carbs and sugars too so having the fruit upstairs means I can eat something without going and raiding the kitchen.
DH, DSs and DD have started buying their own biscuits, sweet yoghurts etc and hiding them! DS2 has bought a fridge for his bedroom and has told me he is fitting a lock to it!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
