Supermarket doesn't open til 11, I may have eaten my own arm by then! (Think of the weight loss :rotfl:)

... trying really hard to do the maths on that one :wall:

  • Ajax, I am loving the Grocery Challenge - it's given me something else to focus on after the weight loss.

I've lost all the lbs I need to and am now focusing on saving other £'s. Counting pennies doesn't even come into it. In the first quarter of 2007 I spent £1,465 in supermarkets, in the first quarter of 2008 I've spent £856. That's a saving of £610 not accounting for price increases - my goal is to go on holiday this year, we're all booked, I just need to pay for it.

We are eating less junk food and I'm loving the home cooking, even though I'm a full time working mum, so time can be a bit short, I just have to plan a bit more - which is why there are so many meals in the freezer - all healthy and low fat. Kids often add cheese to their Spag Bol, Chilli etc. to boost their fat intake.

    FFM :)

    Morning John Boy, morning everyone

I was awake earlier but did the housework before coming on here. Just had Special K for brekkie.

Welcome back Bails, where have you been? I must have missed that you were going away.

Expecting around a 3lb gain at weigh in tomorrow (and if this morning's sneaky weigh in is anything to go by, that's being optimistic :rotfl: )
  • Bails, Ajax is right, I thought you'd hit on a good idea there until I thought about what Ajax was saying - but at least your weight would STS, unlike if it was someone else's arm :rotfl:

.... excellent good luck. Not a problem I'll have this year, Tesco have been kind enough to supply the wife and me with a free Cosmos Elite holiday this year courtesy of Clubcard points ;)

.... marvellous stuff. I'm really very impressed, but could never join you. Leisure time is far too important here.

.....OR....... a short term STS, but (if I may be Petrichor for a moment) it would be a loss when she's been for a poo

.... you can afford it, missy. No doubt it will soon be gone with your mindset.

Fortunately, I do enjoy cooking so in a way it is relaxing

I spent my tesco vouchers on La Tasca vouchers :o and RAC vouchers.
