Due to the nasty comments maybe we will not be allowed to chat! This site doesnt belong to us after all, we are just lucky to be able to use it! It actually belongs to martin lewis who wants us to be COURTEOUS to ALL MONEYSAVERS.But if no one was allowed to comment then what is the point on having a chat forum??? Why not just have people posting offers, and then not allowing anyone to say whether they think it's good or not??
My point was that to get a bit of tatty jewellery for £2 you have to sell your soul to the catalogue companies, when you could pick it up just as easily in Claire's. Once you take them up on this offer you will not only have a credit check against your name, plus another bit of credit which will not massively help your credit rating, but you will also get sent a stream of environmentally unfriendly catalogues three times a year.
As for offers that I've posted maybe you should look in my history. I don't recall anyone complaining when I was telling people about where to find PS2s, or when I pass on Argos reservation numbers for people who want must have items that I reserve for MSErs.
If we cant manage to do that (and its not hard!) maybe martin will have a re-think!

It appears my original comment has been deleted? I didn't think was offensive and I haven't been using any abusive language. I simply pointed out that a new member had posted an offer that looked a bit like spam, and a number of other posters are the ones who are being abusive.Due to the nasty comments maybe we will not be allowed to chat! As for buying items from catalogue companies with credit cards you will often find that even when you do this they set up a credit account for you (whether you want it or not) and add you to their catalogue mailing list. Littlewoods have done this to me on a number of occasions and I ALWAYS pay by credit card in advance, but Experian shows that I have a number of catalogue credit accounts set up.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

Maybe other people are just a little more polite than yourself and maybe the PS2 thread could have some alternative comments - 'Why would anyone even want to bother buying one of these old things? What a rip off, complete waste of time, useless piece of plastic tat etc etc blah blah blah...'
Then again I don't think i'll waste my time.0 -

......I will have to add to this seeing that I was the one who started this. (for my sins!) For your information biglugs I would just like to point out that even though I was a "new"member and it did show that was my first post, I have been looking, reading and taking a lot of advice for years from Martins superb site.
Food for thought.....
