It's so annoying when you get something and then something better comes along.
Happened to me with the first Mrs GG.
GGThere are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -
If you have all the packing : box, polystyrene, polythene bags/covers even the little cover for the 13amp plug. You have kept it all haven't you!!!!!!
Wipe clean any dust, finger prints from the TV and repack take your time and replace everything.
Now go back to Curry's white lie time you have changed your mind and evoking the returns policy.
If the shop is busy they will take the box as it stands if quiet they will unpack to make sure it is ok.
Either way they will have to take it out of the box to check the condition!.
I know what others have said and are likely to comment on this post but what have you got to loose in not giving this a try, if you have not got the packaging then forget it!
What is their returns policy?S!!!!horpe0 -
To ensure you do not misinterpret the T&C's, for store purchases they are displayed in store and also printed on the receipt wallet that you are handed when you make your purchase. The OP will have this detail.
Available on line is http://www.currysknow-how.co.uk/en/Footer-content/Terms-and-Conditions/
this does not make a direct statement as to what is in store but i would suggest all is applicable apart from the 7 days change of mind which is available for on-line purchases only (there are exceptions)0 -
Why is it a legitimate refund? They only have to repair or replace it
Crap company. Appaling Cust Services.
Cant see OP getting any joy - esp as there is nothing wrong with the TV0 -

You obviously only researched price, because nobody that had researched Curry's service would ever buy from them.;)0 -

You should of tested out all the models beforehand.:D0 -
didnt you check around, b4 buying..? tsk tsk.. ask if the shop you bought from have a price matching deal first, before trying to fob them off.
i am sur ethe shop dont want the hassle (or lost income?) of having to rebox and see it on..
would YOU want to buy something that wasnt 'really' new, at full price?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
You should have the right to return it if faulty. If I were you, and i've done this before with other retailers, say it just turns itself off at random after being on for a few hours. Say you want a full refund and do not want a replacement because you do not trust the brand any more. They can't possibly test it for an extended period of time to see if you are kosher, and you don't have to take a replacement if you don't want to.0

The law states you are entitled to a replacement or refund if faulty. Some shops, like argos, will give a refund if you have simply chanced your mind but they dont have to by law. The likes of commit and currys are the pits when it comes to the law, fobbing you off to the manufacture when the law clearly states your contract is with the place you bought it from.0
