My mum has today received a call from this number, asking for my brother saying that they are part of a government scheme calling from 020 30043199, same story as everyone else, an indian man, the usual time delay associated with foreign call centres, they are still doing the rounds!

Hi ive just had these people ring me with the name of a ex wanting to know details. I have no idea how they got my nunber as im EX directroy.

They left a number 02030043199 I rung back some one answered but then hung up. very odd.

I have been getting between 5 - 8 phone calls a day from these jokers for the past week. Its getting ridiculous now.

i received a call two days ago from city credit management to help with my debts that i am struggling with and they have helped me without any problems. they are brokers and all they did was put me through to someone who can help and they have helped me with my problems. they were very helpful and they are getting me back on track with my finances. i think the people who arent in debt and are recieving calls from them might have been in some situation at some point and this info is available for anybody to see.

Yes i agree DJP! i dont understand why people are complaining. they rang me once but i wasn't in so my partner told them to ring back later. they rang at the exact time and helped me tremendously. i was in alot of debt and they help me with a debt management program. i've been with city credit management for 7months now and i havnt had any problems with them. i would recommend them.

A newbie on these forums myself, I just had to register to post a reply in this thread.

I found the thread after being plagued by phone calls for my partner from these people over the last week or so.

So, here's the warning:

If you look at the only two positive replies in this thread from sarah_goodwin66 and djp130 they are both from newbie forum users and posted within minutes of each other.

This is classic behaviour on public forums from companies being criticised: create a new forum account and post positive messages about your business.

So, even though I'm a newbie myself here, my message to you is this: take sarah_goodwin66 and djp130's posts with a huge pile of salt.

In my experience, City Credit Management harass the unsuspecting by telephone. And they don't take no for an answer.

Yes Ive had one from them today. I told him I was on the TPS and he apologised. They claim to be A2Z finance. Ive saved it to my phone as spam so next time they ring ill be ready for them.

I had City Credit Management ring my house about 10 times yesterday. Luckily i wasnt home but my mum got really !!!!ed off at answering their phone. So going by this thread I read someone said that this company is related to Capital Finance. So I rung capital finance on 0870 202 4000 and said "is this Capital Finance". The Lady on the line said "yes". I then said "hold on, i need to speak to City Credit Management" @ which point she said "yes that is ourselves". I then asked for all my details to be removed from their database, I am know awaiting to see if this is true.

I'm a newbie. I have received another call from City Credit Management today, after untold amount of calls from them over the past year. I have lost my temper with them on numerous occasions and also been verbally abused by one caller, who all seem to have exactly the same accent. They are extremely persistent and irritating as they insist that they are not selling anything. I get at least 2 calls a day from this company or companies posing as this company. Today i decided to find out who this company is only to find this forum and that i was not alone. After reading the threads i got alot of useful information and hopefully i can put an end to this harrassment. But also, reading the two newbies that have put positive comments, i agree with msrichard in that considering the majority of comments have expressed this company as being scammers and cons, how come only these two can be so positive. They sound like a well organised advertisement, and no one would believe them. I hope this company and all they subsidiaries are being investigated and stopped. To have a daily harrassment from them for over a year is torturous especially when they just dont take no for an answer. Thanx guys, i dont feel so isolated now.
