You will need a SDHC card reader but you can pick one up for £1 from Poundland. The white stick shaped ones with the card slot in the side work the best. While you are there you should also get a small square camera case with a belt loop for £1. It's approx 11x9x4 cm and fits the Navigo like a dream and has a front pocket that'll take the card reader, usb cable and a spare SD card.
I picked up a case from Poundland last week. It was about the same size as the one you got but slighltly thinner. It was described specifically as intended for Sat Navs. It was made of semi-hard material which gives good protection and is a snug fit to the Navigo (non-wide screen version). The material has a very smooth suede finish so it slides easily into a pocket. It has a small interrnal pocket for an SD card.

Totally agree with reporting of the ebay seller who appears to be selling non-licenced versions of tomtom.

Not condoning it, but there's obviously a *HUGE* market for ahem Tomtom clones....witness the plethora of questions on here "How do I turn my Navigo into a Tomtom"....I didn't see too many protests on here at the obvious pirate related line of questioning.

And to MSE Martin's shame none of those questions and answers have been deleted either. There seem to be dual standards or at least slackness in the management of this forum when they are really hot on deleting certain posts but let others remain.

Thanks for tidying up the thread. Shame it couldn't have been done when I first reported it to the MSE team four weeks ago on March 11th.
  • Just to clarify..A properly paid for, licenced, legally obtained copy of Tom Tom 6.0 will run perfectly on the Navigo

    Hi Urbanite.

Downloaded files from above on to another SD (bit nervous about deleting original files ). Maps failed to load when I tried to run Navigo. Have I done something wong?

    Many thanks
