Its also a good price for the Garmin 610T, they had an Acer laptop last night for £250 but thats gone up again. As i said if you use google checkout and a credit card i can't see what harm you can come to?? I got my 720 for £153 in the Argos christmas price match !!!! up.0

I've just bought one of these for my hubby as broke his last year when I smashed the screen when putting it in the Glove box  so I guess I owe him a new SatNav :rotfl:Win £2008 for 2008 Club Member number 408!!!
Won so far - bottle of Campo Viejo wine, popcorn and Pan’s Labyrinth on DVD. Thanks Channel Five for at last making me a winner!!!0 -
Not really a good buy if you plan to put TOMTOM on it as thats another £60-£80 and the fact that the new V7 maps dont work on the newest version of TOMTOM that is compatible with this (PPC version) then the fact that TOMTOM are not supposed to be releasing a V7 for PPC means that buying it for that purpose is just stupid.
The latest tomtom 6 maps are more than capable of getting you around, it's not like they build a new road every week.
Buying this just for tomtom 6 is a bargain at under 60 quid especially if you already have the software on a PDA.0 -
Can someone please state ABOUT THIS DEAL, not others. I want to know if this is good to just check postcodes etc, telling you directions and so on?Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -

They compare every satnav app that can be used on the Navigo. Some people seem to be happy with the turbodog software which comes with it once you have installed the upgrade for 7 digit postcode searches.
I have bought this unit myself but didn't use turbodog for very long although there didn't seem anything wrong with it but I am already used to tomtom. The unit itself i'm very impressed with for £60.
Cheers

The exact same could be said for any navigation software... But what happens when you have to visit an area that has been re developed and a complete new road layout and its not shown and will never be shown due to no updates.. For 60 quid more you get the standalone system with latest maps and access to Mapshare as well as other enhancements over the old PPC version. That and the fact you always have the option of upgrading to newer maps when yours becomes too dated... Still a complete waste to use it for TT6 IMHO.0 -

The exact same could be said for when you cannot find an area that is not in the newer version 7 maps?
Before you set off on a journey you always check to see if the destination is available.0 -
I've been using Tomtom mobile 5 for a couple of years and have found the maps fine. Ocaisionally I find a new housing estate isn't on it and it even thought a nearby roundabout was a through road but that has been fixed in tt6. However I find that the maps aren't updated that much and even the version 6 ones have a traffic light controlled junction which was converted from a roundabout ~ 5 years ago is still a roundabout. Mind you google also seems a bit confused ...
