I'm too old, and really don't understand the techie speak gobbledigook stuff that's in the accompanying "how to" etc booklet that came with it

in that case, you're probably gonna struggle at the first stage - how about getting yourself a nice large street altas with a really big font instead?0 -

If you go to the ebuyer forum here:-
http://forums.ebuyer.com/showthread.php?t=14676
it is explained how to do the upgrade. If you go to post no.7 it has a link to the sat nav which shows at the bottom of the page where the upgrade can be downloaded from.0 -

This 4GB SDHC one from Playcom is now £7.99 with FREE Delivery (they were £8.99 when I got 2 last week) and works a treat. Although it's their own brand it's actually a Toshiba card (marked on the back.)
You will need a SDHC card reader but you can pick one up for £1 from Poundland. The white stick shaped ones with the card slot in the side work the best. While you are there you should also get a small square camera case with a belt loop for £1. It's approx 11x9x4 cm and fits the Navigo like a dream and has a front pocket that'll take the card reader, usb cable and a spare SD card.
@Wazza ... Memory Map has to be the one for me. it's all that detail on those OS maps!If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -
It would appear that same user makes a habit of selling devices with preinstalled tomtom software, he's selling another one.
eBay auction reported as fraud and TomTom just replied to my contact with this so matey should be expecting a call from them shortly:
Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support
This will be passed to our legal team for investigation.

Totally agree with reporting of the ebay seller who appears to be selling non-licenced versions of tomtom.
A quick question - slightly off subject regarding the card readers for 4GB HD cards, i've been trying to use the origional poundland card readers, they work fine with 1gb and 2gb cards but the 4gb does not work. from KAR999 - "You will need a SDHC card reader but you can pick one up for £1 from Poundland. The white stick shaped ones with the card slot in the side work the best." - just to clarify before I "splash out a £1" these readers with the side-slot definatly work ok for SD HD cards? if they do - I will try to get one next week!
Thanks.0
