Ah well, the boys ended up going back at 12.30pm so been on my own since then. They've rung up this afternoon though which cheered me up but I'll admit to having a teenie little weep when they went...
Off to a pub quiz tonight to try to win some funds for the boys football club. We won it a few weeks back ( all £53 of it ) but last week, we won eight pints of beer between the six of us. Only spent £1.95 so far today on a four-pint carton of milk and a tin of shaving foam desperately needed...:D
Tonight, I'm only taking £5 with me so it'll be one pint plus my £1 entry fee.:A0 -
Hope your quiz went well and you won some money:) If not, tomorrow might be a long day.
You certainly come across a devoted dad to the twins. You always come across as dead patient. My hubbie wo uld lose the rag with my 3 boys if we split up and had them all weekend with only about a fiver:):) No way could he cope with that.
Do you not have any contact with your other kids? That must be hard.
The twins mum seems as though she is lonely. Does she work0 -
Hi bestmum,
Yes, I still have good contact with my oldest two. I see them fortnightly and we normally spend the afternoon and evening togther while now and again, we'll spend a day somewhere, like Moors Valley Country Park or down to Swanage / Corfe / Bournemouth. They live in Dorset so I don't get to see them as much as the younger two.
It was mainly because of the mistakes made first time round that I made 100% sure I saw plenty of the youngest two. I wouldn't swop my relationship with them with anyone else on earth. Except maybe I'd live with them...:D . Their mum does get lonely, I'd wish that she'd wait longer into a relationship before letting the boys meet the b/f. She used to work but was fired last year for taking too much time off ill.0 -
It seems like Mum's had enough of them already...
They're on their way back round here for the rest of the day! :j :j
PS The quiz didn't go too bad, we finished third or fourth just three points behind the winners....:D0 -
At least she still has you to rely on !!
I think its lovely how much you devote to your children if only all fathers were like you are with your kids this country would be a far better place.
Enjoy your day with them !!BSC MEMBER 319 - AD 22ND JULY 20110 -
Thanks Bluebells. I expect you're a great parent yourself...;)
Boys went back around 7.00pm and I'll pick them up and take them to school on Friday so only four more sleeps to go.:D
Almost a no-spend day but the car was crying out for petrol so stuck £25 of Tesco's finest in it ( 25 Clubcard points thanks a lot ).
Long old day tomorrow. Morning and evening post runs, 160 catalogues to deliver in between, a football match with a 7.00pm kick-off and skittles after that!!:eek:0 -
No spend day so far...:A0

Phone call from the boys at 9.30am. They'd had to get up, get dressed and get themselves breakfast this morning because Mum was still asleep.  . One of them was quite upset and wanted to come round but she wouldn't have agreed to that had she been awake.
It's not right at seven years old! :eek:0 -
Awwww hun... sounds a bit wrong i must admit.
My daughter is 7, and i'll admit to letting her sort herself out a snack and some telly time for an extra hour in my bed on a saturday or sunday but not getting themselves up and out on a school day. That's not on is it?
Maybe she needs to know that they called you, make out as though you were checking on her that she was okay... but that way she will know that you know.... subtle like.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
