I fancy I'm taking a lot of unnecessary stick here....
Working this morning after taking the boys to school. Delivered 120 catalogues after lunch then picked the boys up from school as well...:D
Kettle broke down permanently earlier  so just been to Asda to buy another one £12.97, to Comet to buy a PS2 cable £14.99, and also picked up some shopping in Asda for around £6.00...
Sat down with a coffee now to plan the weekend's activities....airport for plane spotting, a picnic at the harbourside, informal training down at the park and a trip to the cinema is top of the list...:D0 -
Hi Chip and happy birthday for yesterday. I usually just lurk on your thread but re the broken kettle, please have a look at your local Freecycle in future if any household items are needed. I belong to my 3 local ones and have had great stuff - as well as handing over items that I no longer need but that others do. Including kettles......:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Hi Tus,
I'm a confirmed "gumtree-er" big time. I try and get everything through them but to be honest, I'm a little fussy about kettles. Also, I couldn't wait to see if there was anything online, I needed a coffee urgently.....:D
I've tried freecycle before and found it so-so but I'll have another look directly. Thanks for coming out by the way...:T0 -
A no-spend day today as I didn't even leave the house....:D . Mowed the lawn, got some paperwork out of the way and spent some quality time with the children but didn't leave the house....:eek:0

I should really point out that I did leave the house yesterday... to mow the lawn of course.
Today, stayed in for much of it apart from taking the boys down to the park for a quick training session. They have a break from official training now till May 21st so I thought I'd start working on their "wrong feet". They're mirror-image twins so one's right handed / right footed while the other is very left-oriented. I'm going to spend the next three weeks working hard on their wrong feet to build them up to a reasonable standard.:j
Popped into Somerfield for some treats and a spot of tea and came out with change of a tenner...just! :rolleyes:0 -

a friend who worked for the council once told me about an old lady whose flat they'd been fixing - she missed her garden so threw grass seeds all over the front room and had been watering them. Hence the reason for their visit as they thought they were dealing with a burst pipe. So some people may not have to leave home to mow the lawn...:eek:Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Took the boys down to the park for a fair time this afternoon for a game of footie which they enjoyed....:D
Popped into Tesco for a few bits and bobs costing £3.83. Other than that, a quiet spend day again today. I'm taking this new found responsibility seriously but no doubt when the wheels come off, they'll come off big time.....:rolleyes:0
