Popped into Tesco for a few bits and bobs costing £3.83. Other than that, a quiet spend day again today. I'm taking this new found responsibility seriously but no doubt when the wheels come off, they'll come off big time.....

Hi, no negative thinking here, that makes me sound like a moany old wuss. More a realisation that when something goes wrong normally, I tend to slip back into the old ways too easily.:A
This week? Evening post runs for the next three evenings, morning post run every morning, picking the boys up tomorrow from school for 3/4 hours, friend coming round tomorrow to attack my back garden with me and Friday night sees the boys and I off to their team's presentation night at Bath. I've taken the team's newsletter to the printers and collecting it Friday morning, having the boys all weekend and off to the other side of Bristol tonight to collect an Ikea wardrobe for £15 from Gumtree.
Apart from that, will be chilling, methinks.:o0 -
So your not going to be busy at all then :rotfl:.
I had a big slip over the weekend so we all do it. Problem with gardens is that they keep growing!! We have trees that need cutting and as for the grass... it's a jungle out there!!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Good day today.
. Decided against the wardrobe from Gumtree as I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with my bedroom yet. Popped into Ikea just in case they had anything in Bargain Corner but there was nowt there. Came out with a small packet of those yummy green and brown cakes they sell.... . The boys like them, you see...:A
Popped up the pub for a pint tonight with my mate. He is another Yeovil fan who lives about a mile from me and we take him down to the football every fortnight. He gave me £285 in cash tonight so that I can renew his season ticket online as he doesn't have internet access.
Also sent five of my minimum payments off today, all online which is good news. Once you get your debts under control and begin paying them off, the relief is palpable....:D
Tomorrow looks like being another good 'un. Morning and evening post run, sorting out the garden in the mid-morning and picking the boys up from school in the afternoon...:j0 -
Should have added some more spend in yesterday's post.
Bought a lawn rake, some weedkiller, a set of shears and some gardening gloves from B & Q and Homebase for £14.00 yesterday. Not forgetting that solitary £2.75 pint of Blackthorn too!! :A0 -
Just call you Mr Greenfingers!!
Although gardening gloves? Even I don't use gardening gloves and I have evil brambles in my garden!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Why do I wear gardening gloves? Because I'm worth it....:smileyhea
Lawn done and with my two friends ( another one turned up too ), we got pretty much all of it done by school run time...:D . Front garden looks dreadful now as several bushes lying on it now but back garden looks spiffing. Might start looking for some garden furniture now on gumtree to fill it up a bit.:cool:0 -
Very nice.
We have a wooden bench in the front garden and that's it. The back is very over looked and like being in a goldfish bowl.
You've had good weather for it. I've spent the day in my ari conditioned office and haven't stepped outside since 8.30 this morning .

Another beautiful start to the day here again.
Aching this morning after yesterday's exploits in the garden. John and Simon came around at 10.30am and left at three and my garden is unrecogniseable. The front one is full of cut-down shrubs, bushes and dead foliage while the back one is lawned and like a billiard table...:D , well maybe I exaggerate but now I have a lawn for the boys to play football in....:j
Spending yesterday? Well I treated them both to lunch ( sandwiches, crisps and diet coke ) from the local Tesco Express which cost £9.00 then last night went to Asda to buy a shirt for Friday's presentation night for the boys' team plus a little bit of shopping, total bill £9.52....0
