After an exhausting day today, decided to take it a bit steadier today. . Morning post run this morning then pottered around the house for the rest of the day bar one trip to the bank.
Early start tomorrow, need to get petrol before I go very far. I'd taken some advice about filling up instead of putting dribs and drabs in and it works...:j You feel richer because you're not in the garage every day. I filled up last Thursday and haven't needed to fill up since but that's because I've only done 350 miles since then. I won't always be able to string it out for a week but I should be able to do a fillup each time instead of a tenner here and there....:D0 -

What a fantastic start to the day. Postman brought me confirmation of my "£15 Sun Holiday". I got my first choice park, second choice dates so me and the twins are off to Devon Cliffs on July 18th for three nights. I missed the coupons last year but we went the year before and had the most wonderful time possible. I remember walking along the beach chilling out while they splashed in the water, the sun was going down and the weather was great and this was October.... , this time we're off in the middle of July!
Been shopping already ( Asda £24.26 ), the rubbish and foliage has already been collected, I've done the morning post run and taken the boys to school as well. I've got to collect some flowers for three of the football mums later as well as getting the newsletter too as it's trophy presentation night tonight.:D0 -
:T
That's really good! I've not been to the old place in ages!
Middle of July should be good as most of the students will have left by then, no arguments over crazy golf.
The beach there is great and there is (or was) a nice little ice cream parlour in the building next to 'The Deer Leap' on the sea front in Exmouth... I lived in one of the flats above it for a little while :rolleyes:Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Meant to mention in the earllier spend the fact that I filled up at Tesco's this morning....£51.00  ( 51 Clubcard points)...tonight at the presentation evening, I bought a round of drinks £6.18, chipped in £2 for someones present and bought a pint for myself at £2.40...
Tired now so off to bed.:o0 -
Had a nice day so far.:D
Boys were a bit tired after last night's late one. Had breakfast then got dressed and went to see "Horton Hears A Who" at the cinema. Ryan won tickets in his school xmas raffle and they expired today so we thought it best to use them up. Surprisingly good film but I like anything with Jim Carrey in so I was happy.
Popped into town to do some shopping ( £6.18 ) and to get their glasses straightened in the opticians. I think my eyes need testing... guess who I bumped into in Specsavers. Everyone!!  :rotfl:
Quiet afternoon in methinks. Forgot to mention that I forked out £14.40 for the newsletter at the printers yesterday but sold 18 at a pound each last night. Also chipped in £30 towards the rubbish clearance at my house, total bill was £130, but it was worth every penny.:rolleyes:0 -
Took the boys to the park this afternoon for a kickabout, not too long though as it was so hot. Did we really have a major thunderstorm last night?
Stayed in tonight so pretty much a no-spend day really.0 -
We had almost hailstone type rain later today so I was
too!

Almost another no-spend day today but ran out of milk earlier so had to pop into Tesco's and pick some more up....
Been home all day except for the morning and evening post runs. Spoke to the boys on the phone earlier :j , strimmed the front lawn again this morning and chilled for the rest of the day....:D0 -

Do you have a massive garden as you always seem to be gardening!! Although saying that ours isn't that big but there is SO much to do to get it ready for the summer!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

It's not that big, Lucy (  ) but it's had no TLC for so long that I keep finding jobs to do in it. Suppose the back gardens 40ft x 20ft lawn with shrubs and bushes along two sides and a party wall on the third. Front garden is a mess full stop and needs a damn good mow.
There's bushes in the back garden that need a trimming too. I do like a neatly trimmed bush! :eek:0
