Was tired last night after Friday night's football match ( yayy, no more expensive Saturday's and no more proof-reading either ). I loved doing the proof-reading but it didn't make sense financially so I shan't be doing that next season....

Started a list of things to do last night as BBaM does on her thread. Wish I hadn't as I've got too much to do...
    • Get a postal order for £68.50 and send off my "Cheap Holidays From The Sun" offer. The boys and I love going on holiday together so fingers crossed we get our first choice park, Devon Cliffs.
    • Deliver the last 320 catalogues
    • Sort out the minimum payments to my creditors
    • Mow the front and back gardens and trim the hedges
    • Paint a wall in the front room. It's an odd colour to the rest of the room.
    • Start the final newsletter for the under-sevens team
    • Start a list of potential contributors for the five articles per issue I'll be doing in next season's Yeovil programme
    • Pay the Paypal money into the boys accounts.
    • Send off some sales letters to potential customers. I've identified a small gap in the market and need to send off some letters to the accountants on my list.
    • Buy two new wardrobes, some curtains, a fridge-freezer and a three piece-suite all from either Trade-It, Gumtree or cheap from Ikea.
    • Take some old unwanted furniture to the tip.
Phew. That needs to be all done by Thursday really as it's my 40th birthday and I'm taking my oldest two out for a meal somewhere.:D

Have you registered on your local Freecycle? They always have a lot of furniture going, might save you a couple of pounds as well as give the furniture away rather than chucking them on the tip.... just a suggestion!
Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker! :p

Quiet day today. Spent £4.00 on the boys football subs ( last one of those for a month ) and £2.00 on a pint of cider after the match.

They were nagging me weeks ago for a PS2 so I managed to get one from e-Bay yesterday for £27.00 plus postage. I then went on Amazon and got four games for £14, all ones they wanted which they'll be chuffed with.

Been out for most of the morning spending money, I'm afraid.

Started off by getting the ink cartridges on my printer refilled, £26.00 for both the colour and the black one. Then up the road to pay in the boys' money into their account. Not sure if you remember but I'm selling bits and bobs on E-bay and when the paypal payment comes in, I'll transfer the money into their account. Had to go in and ID their account and paid a tenner each into their savings and got a nice moneybox each for them....:D . In seriousness, it gives me the motivation to get stuff listed on E-bay and with the accounts being with Halifax ( the same as mine ), the transfer should be relatively painless.

Post office was next. Took out a postal order for £68.50 for our holiday. I've been collecting the Sun tokens in a DFW way recently and now have enough to send off. First choice is Devon Cliffs in, er, Devon with other choices in Dorset as back-ups. I've been away four times with them and love it, they're good fun to be with.:j :j

Wilkinsons was next port of call. Bought a net curtain rod for £4 and a packet of clothes pegs (£2). The pegs are actually a DFW purchase as I have a clothes line but tend to rely on Mr Tumble too much.

B & Q next. One of my front room walls is a wildly different colour to the rest so I bought a value tin of magnolia paint, a paint roller and some brushes for a tenner.

Finally, all this gave me a hunger for a ham salad roll with a slice of australian crunch for £2.35.:p

Wow, you've been busy! Hadn't realised the Sun were doing hols again this week, they usually send us the form in the post. Maybe they realised we're taking the pee out of it - did 3 hols last year and got 2 to do this year!

Someone else suggested Freecycle - if you haven't tried it already, give it a go, I just discovered it the other day and it's fantastic! I joined to get rid of an old dishwasher and mattress, but can't believe some of the stuff that people give away.

Am I stupid? What's australian crunch?!

    Devon Sands is really nice.

I was at uni in Exmouth. Fab beach and loads to do. You'll have a good time if you get in there.

The Sun missed me out this year too. I've been on four holidays with them ( Devon Cliffs, Brean Sands, Rockley Park and Littlesea ) so maybe regulars are discouraged....

Lucy - Exmouth's as gorgeous as you are.:p The three of us went to Devon Cliffs in October 2006, walking along the deserted beach as the sun went down was a highlight as was ringing the bell on the crazy golf course last hole...:T

    :o Thank you.

I only played crazy golf once... and lost!

The beach is fab in the evening, I live 1 year up on Douglas Ave which over looks the sea.

The fact that the marine firing range is next the holiday camp always made me laugh....

    Mmmmm, Australian Crunch...

Rockley Park is lovely - I nearly bought a caravan there when I was working in Bournemouth a few years ago. The nicest Sun Hol we've had was at Haggerston Castle, right up near Berwick on the Scottish border (a bit out of the way for you!), but it was lovely. Worst was at Presthaven Sands, Prestatyn in Wales. We had a lovely time at Chester Zoo etc despite the accommodation, but the site was a real dive. Went to one called Hendra something-or-other in Newquay - that was a very nice park, but it rained the whole time and took us about 8hrs to travel which put a bit of a bummer on it, which in fairness wasn't entirely The Sun's fault!
