Having Problems With Things On The Site

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

This problem seems to be getting worse! The site was completely offline again this morning betwwen approx 10.30am and 11.00am. Couldn't load any pages, couldn't even ping the site. All traces of moneysavingexpert just seemed to vanish from cyberspace.

This problem will surely cost the site a few new members. Although us existing members know of this problem, it must give a terrible impression to any possible new members when the site just disappears offline for no reason.

Recently, trying to get onto the site can be a bit of a lottery. This morning, after the site had 'gone down'. I looked on the front page of the forums that I already had loaded. There were only 495 members online. Use of the site by too many people at once doesn't seem to be a contributary factor in it going down.

Yes I found problems this morning too and yes it is annoying that new users will sit down at their pc of a Sunday morning and give up on MSE altogether when they can't get in.

BUT, as Martin has said something is being down about it and hopefully this won't take too much longer.

and maybe Rex they are all off playing that stupid game (stupid because I am useless at it ) and if that is run off the same servers I guess it won't help.

I never thought of that. I also found out I was useless at the game so gave up on it!

I know the team is aware of the problem, but it is soooooo annoying at the moment when you are halfway through looking for something and the site packs up on you.
