Beleive me he wont be doing anything like this again.
The £170 would need to be devided between the 2 companies envolved. I've been told the interest and can frozen and they will look at a payment plan once they have seen my expenditure.
My credit report doesnt show anything else.0 -

I hope he bought something worth while that you can sell to get your money back, this would be the easiest thing. Little more difficult if he used the card for going out etc."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
Yes my fathers home is owned and paid off. The house is in my name.
I have been advised this is not at risk if I keep to the payment arrangement.
The money was ran up over a number of years on luxury items, Computers, DVDs, CDs, Holiday nothing that is now of any value.0 -
Sorry to be a prophet of doom but if he applied for one card in your name, can you be sure there are no more? This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

What exactly is your son's position on this...you don't give any indication of how he plans to rectify the situaton. In fact, it sounds like you plan to sort the mess out for him, and allow him to pay you back when he can afford it.
Is there any sign of remorse, or "Holy crap I've really screwed up both our lives, I'm going to do everything in my power to sort this mess out as soon as possible"?0 -

I own my Fathers house as he signed this over to me a few years back.
I dont appreciate being called a liar when I am coming here for help.
My Son has shown remorse and is wanting to get this resolved. However it is I who will need to make any payment arrangements.0 -
I DID NOT call you a liar, as you have said yourself YOU WERE NOT VERY CLEAR WITH YOUR REPLY! As as you have already stated you have come on here for help, we cannot give this to you unless your facts are clear, and yes we have all experienced some PORKIES on here from time to time!!
