Hi scotsaver...
I do cook a lot, I love cooking... just wish there was more than me n hubby to cook for....thats why i love xmas n things -i can really go to town then :j
Not sure that I know what im talkin about though lol
I love sliced potatoes and onions done in the oven too :T ..i use a lamb stock cube mmmm hubby likes it with corned beef in a layer through the middle..but i like it as it is, with fresh breadwhen i was a kid mum used to do it and put bacon or sausage on the top for the last 20 mins or so, so that the juices soaked into the potatoes ...
MRSMCAWBER - Love the idea of putting Corned Beef in it,:T have made a note of that and shall do that next time as sounds like a meal in itself. That's why I love this site so much as it's full of wonderful ideas. Afternoon all
Just wondered if someone could point me in the right direction for MrsM's tortilla wraps. I've found some tikka chicken in the freezer and as DH has a parents evening tonight its just me and the children to feed tonight. Just wondering if I'll have time to make it before 5.30ish if I start now!
Thanks everyone for tips about the milk. I'll start watering down gradually and see if anyone notices. DH is a bit funny about milk and wouldn't touch my skimmed (even though I often put it in his tea and he never notices!) DS and DD drink loads of the stuff, often made into smoothies or milkshakes so I don't reckon they'll notice.
Had planned a NSD but was lured to the Co-op in search of bargains when parents offered me a lift. Spent £8ish CASH and bought enough 4 more meals so quite pleased. I'm getting a bit obsessive about the bargain section and almost want to just buy from there and nowhere else in the store!!!
Thanks everyone. Off to update signature an hope someone finds the tortilla recipe.Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

Afternoon all,
Went to Lidl for a 'few' things this morning, mainly fruit and veg...and spent €45.34, also spent €13.20 on fish, so total spend to-day was €58.56...bringing my total so far this month to €151.43, and it is only 6th...have to get more organised...DD2 is very difficult to feed...won't eat my usual rashers of Lidl's bacon bits...pays for more than her own, so no difficulty there, but means that I don't know whether she will eat what I have bought or not, so buy for her anyway (GGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHH!)
Will have enough fish to feed DD's 2, 3 &4, OH, me and DGD1 and think that there will be some left over to make some 'fish fingers' for the freezer...going to make chicken goujons too.

Not doing too badly so far.... Spent over half my budget but have most of the stuff I need other than for 9 evening meals and a couple of lunches. Doing better than usual by trying to just buy weekly stuff rather than buying too far ahead.
Must try using cash more thoughworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Thanks icandream, I've printed off the recipe and think we'll give the wraps a go tonight. DD will enjoy making them. Then I've got to assemble my spaghetti bake for tomorrow nights tea as I'm working a bit later than normal and want something quick when I get in. I'll post up the recipe tonight as it's really easy.
Off to school now.

Wasn't planning on spending any grocery money today but realised when I went to put everything into slowcooker hadn't any sweet & sour sauce to go with the Kielbasa and smoked sausage.
Was going to Mr T's for petrol so nipped in and got 2 value cans of S&S sauce; grand total 52p.
