getting-sorted sarah - can you point me in the direction of the hobnobs recipe - sounds as if I may try it providing I have all the ingredients in my ever dwindling stock cupboard.

Enjoy!
I'd recommend rolling them out and using a cutter - makes them very professional - and also next time I will use greaseproof paper on the baking sheets. Twink says to let them cool on the tray, but I found that mine stuck if I did that, I needed to spatula them onto a wire cooling tray to crisp up.
Next time I'm going to add cinnamon and chopped dried cranberries!0 -
I still cant find the saver club for march on that link u gave me
HI, I found it. I think this is it: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=295326

twink's hobnobs are lovely with raisins in too - they don't cook long enough to burn like in fruit cake so just stay really nice in the biscuitsworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

May have to do more than 1 batch then!

Not spent anything today.
Got gammon egg and chips for tea but DH isn't going to be happy cause he has to do it when he gets home from work. Mainly because he moans like heck when I put the chips in the oven but I can't do fryer chips I always burn them!
Still not sure about this soup guys. It looks really dark so I'll have a little look at it when I've blended it. Maybe I'll have to get a packet of frozen peas to mix with it and sweeten it. I'll let you all know!
The brick bread was actually quite nice very thinly sliced toasted or not. But DH went and bought 2 loaves of sliced bread again. It's coming out of his money though- I've already told him that!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Quick hello to all - haven't spent anything else yet, aiming to spend nothing between now and 7th then I'll top up on milk - replenished powder supplies, so looking at making it last.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Can you add me, I plan to spend £200 this month, Ive been looking at the thrifty ways to save money, I think this is what my monthly budget is, but after reading the "How To's" of budgetting I realise with the top up shopping it may be more!
xxxMarch Grocery Challenge: £58.26/£2000 -
Hi guys
bit annoyed with myself and pleased with myself at the same time. had to go to local shop for juice and milk, therefore putting myself in a position to spend on things i didnt need, if only i had been more organised when i did my big shop last week - DOH! though i did resist the temptation to buy anything extra - Yay!
Spent £2
beginning to be quite sad, having sausages tonight and need tom sauce, but thought i've got brown sauce at home i'll use that instead just so i didnt spend more money
i really am becoming obsessive. i'm gonna end up starving myself, cos ive set a target of how much of the budget i want left at the end of the month, and i thought the whole idea of setting a budget was that it was a limit id be happy to go up to. DOH - again
ETOSPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
:hello: Hope everyone's having a good day and {hugs}} to those who need them. It's taken me ages to read through this afternoon. Should really have been ironing
A few more bits purchased today - toiletries, milk, cheese - nothing we didn't need, but shows why I could never keep to my food budget. These would have normally just been forgotten when it came to adding up my weekly spend so the challenge is making me aware of every penny - no more "missing" money :j Also thought twice about picking up some of the offers. Realised they weren't saving me money as I wouldn't buy them unless they were on offer
I'm actually enjoying this challenge - I thought I might find it hard as I'm terrible at remembering to pick up receipts or write down what I spend, but it's amazing how focused I feel. I don't know how long it will last, I'm sure I'll need a bum kicking before too long, but at the moment life's quite good.:xmastree:Merry Christmas0
