    Evening all :D

    Hi Mumofjust2

Everyone is different..in mine i count all food, cleaning stuff and toiletries... and its never to late to join in ;)

Well folks hubby got back from work and announced he is off on exercise on sunday -for the week...soooo on the plus side..at least my groceries will last longer :rotfl: ..i will miss him of course..but every cloud and all that :p

Now, who mentioned earlier that their OH was moaning at the lack of meat? I know i read it..and now its vanished :o ...
Anyhow... we have meat most meals..but smaller amounts ;) the thing i do is with chicken and pork..I make HM stuffing... much more tasty n filling than dried.... I just:-
    1. chop an onion and drop it in a pan with some water and cook for a few mins
    2. then drop in a thick piece of HM bread just torn into chunks,(if you like it smoother you can always blitz the bread)
    3. some dried sage(or whatever herbs you like)
    4. and the best bit just break up 1 skinless sausage broken up and bash that in,
    5. you may need a bit more water -you want it quite sloppy(well we do) -then pour into a non stick oven proof tin and bake until nice n crispy
It tastes nothing like packet stuff and its that meaty that we have both said that we would be quite happy with stuffing on our dinner instead of meat-in fact some days i do that :p

Its great poured over diced pork etc, or tonight i had some roast pork so i cut it up put it in the bottom of the dish and poured the stuffing over and baked it .. you might get away with less meat that way...hope it helps ;)

Thanks for the heads-up on Amazon FFM, but don't you have to pay £15 a year to be able to get free postage or something?

Been at work all day, so don't know if someone has already answered further on. To get free delivery from Amazon you only need to spend £15, you do have to make sure you select the free delivery option at checkout.

The £49 Amazon Prime info is here http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200182130 not at all MSE.

    FFM :)

  • Amazon are currently selling the SD254 for £75.85 it's free delivery to UK. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-breadmaker-SD254/dp/B000QV07C4/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1204494775&sr=8-1

Also, if Amazon drop the price after you have bought it you can ask them to refund the difference - I think the limit is 30 days.

    FFM :)

I'm going to try your HM stuffing, sounds quite simple but tasty. I have some left over chicken earmarked for tonight so thought I'd give it a go.
My OH is a definate meat and 2 veg man, old English style, but unfortunately he's allergic to tomatoes in any shape or form so it cuts out an enormous amount of recipes I could do. I've got used to it over the years and adapted.

    Hi there

Yes, you can freeze it.... its odd what you remember..as that is something i remember seeing my grandma make when i was tiny...always thought it was odd -this sloppy looking thing in the pan-until i tried it myself..
You can get more flavour in if you say, use a bit of the stock or juices from the meat..oh and i forgot about seasoning... oh and if you have a spare egg that wants using up - i Do that too but you don't have to :D
You can make it as smooth or chunky as you like ..but in this house everything is rustic :rotfl: oh and if you don't like "soft" stuffing, just wait until it goes crispy on top and then give it a stir and shove it back in ;)

Lil_me.. you will thank me for it in the end :rotfl:
