Im originally from Nottinghamshire
The 1st time i asked my "now hubby" if he wanted a cob -he looked at me totally confused :rotfl: mind when i went home with him -to bedford and his brother asked me if i would like a roll i nearly choked on my tea
..
I don't know why but i always think of barm as being like a teacake
so a barm then is like a "bap" where i come from...a big flat soft cob ..i think
....
i will dig out a recipe for you
