I didn't have time to meal plan at lunchtime, I work in a school and I kept getting disturbed by kids having bumped heads and needing plasters! So now I'm panicking cos I won't be prepared when I go to Mr T's this evening.
Any ideas for a cheap and tasty dinner? I must try and find time to search on here.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Thought I'd better post my spend so far, I had a tidy up yesterday and updated my list of what's in the freezer, funnily enough I've managed to keep it topped up with whoopsies! . The store cupboard is fairly full as well, so its just f & v (famous last words:rotfl: ).
I'm sat lurking waiting for the hospital to ring me and tell me if I'm going in today or not  . Not sure what happens next if I don't go in..... off to Lidls to get my fruit and veg I expect :rotfl: !0 -

PS We don't have numbers but there is a list.
PPS What was that programme with Patrick McGoohan bellowing "I am not a number! I am a free man!?"
Hi Jacks...I think it was "The Prisoner". It was SO wierd - I was only a nipper at the time (honest!) and I remember it used to scare the pants off me!...If I remember rightly these huge white balloons use to block his escape somehow and, to this day, I am scared of balloons - how sad is that!) :eek:0 -
Hi all, managed to have a NSD on Saturday, took the kids to the park for a bracing walk in the morning and then spent the rest of the day in the kitchen making HM Faggots from a recipe I got on here, DD1 said they are nicer than shop bought.:j There was some Lambs Liver left from the Faggots recipe so used that to make a Liver and Bacon casserole which is now tucked away in the freezer, made Twinks Hobnobs which are going down a storm in this house and are in pack lunches today, made a HM Banoffi Pie which we took to friends yesterday as she was cooking Mothers Day meal for us so quite pleased with how things are going.
Also had a NSD yesterday as we had dinner at friends as mentioned above but today I have been to Lidl's and must let you all know they have some great bargains in the Fruit & Veg section today, I spent £2.86 and managed to get the biggest Cauli I have ever seen for 49p, broccoli for 39p, a celeriac for 35p, 7 pack bananas for 79p, passata for 29p, creme fraiche for 55p so shall be making cauliflower cheese with half the cauli and using the rest of the cauli with the broccoli to make that canneloni thingy that Jamie Oliver made on TV last week, just need to look up the recipe on C4 website. The celeriac I shall use in a soup so quite pleased with myself.:T Then walked along to Iceland as they're milk is only £1.10 for 4 pints so I'm saving money and getting extra exercise at the same time.:rotfl: Must stop waffling now, good luck to everyone.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.
