Hello Fello (sic) tightwads!
A NSD for moi todai. 'Avent been outa the 'ouse terdai. :j, got the beer and fags in yesterdai (this is all spoken like the sweep in "Mary Poppins")
Have updated my signature and it doesn't look too hopeful for March as I have to make a fortnightly order from Mr T tomorrow. Still, on the bright side I haven't done too badly so far this year. One thing I might say about MEN shopping for groceries, ladies you have to be very specific when asking us to get things for you. I have learnt from experience that when DW asks me to get things I always ask:
1. How much/many?
2. What price?
3. What type?
4. If I get it wrong please don't let everybody know!! :rotfl:
etc.
For dinner we had Turkey with Yorkshire pud, roast spuds, broccoli, cauliflower, parsnips, carrots and cabbage. Except that DW didn't have turkey or cabbage, and DS3 didn't have parsnips or broccoli. For tea we are having Bread and Pullit.
Must go now as the Pullit is going off.

you can freeze the mix. If you roll it into a sausage shape and freeze it like that you can just slice it and bake from frozen. HTH

Hi Downsizing for Sanity
Popped into Tesco today and went to see the Fishmonger. He told me the Half Price salmon finished today and that he only had 2 sides of salmon left. We only bought one (don't like being too greedy) and my friend skinned it and cut it into 9 fillets (price for each 63p).
So you are my best friend ... I love salmon more than chocolate.. and I love chocolate....
My sister had also picked me up some Whoops organic salmon for £1-didn't want the money so I gave it to my niece to add to her Sports Relief total (she cooked cakes for her neighbours and raised over £20)
I was limiting the salmon on my shopping list because of the price and now I've got enough to use in fish pies until June!!!!!!!!
I have split the amount between April/May/June budgets.
Thank you
Also picked up 2xlarge FR eggs from Farm Shop for £1.10 each for April.
Don't need anything else for March now and am off to Germany for Easter weekend. Still, I won't declare my final total until 25th. April begins on the 26th -although we've got loads off the list already-seen those deals and grabbed them!!!!!!!!!!
This week OB cooked chilli con carni - 4 lots-3 in the freezer and we made Tuna and mushroom toasties (half of mixture in freezer). In April we're planning to make more recipes....
