Whats everyone having for tea tonight??
Well tonight we're having Lamb casserole, (HM from the freezer) which I'm gonna bulk out a bit with some chopped tomatoes & extra Veg, served with mash (made extra yesterday) and Peas.
I'm not feeling that hungry though as I've been scoffing Chocolate Crispy Bites all day! :EasterBun

:hello: Hi all, first time joining the GC for me. My pay month runs 19th-19th of the month, why couldnt they pay us at the end of the month like normal companies!
Ok, GC budget for 19 mar - 19 apr is £300. Thats for me, OH and V fussy DS 14. I know it sounds like an awful lot and that is EXACTLY why i am joining in. I kept all reciepts from last month and i spent more than that! Hence why I need to spend less.
We, me + OH, are total foodies and eat far too much while DS only has 7 staple foods that he will consider eating and eats less than a 4 year old. Unless it's sweets and chocolate of course. Oh and he pretty much refuses to eat what we eat so i end up making 2 different meals each night.
Anyway, i'm looking forward to posting, keeping up with everyone and reading all your hints, tips and advice.
And i LOVE a challenge!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
PS we are having toad in the hole for tea tonight, with mash & gravy. DS at grandmas so she has the difficult task of feeding him

Having chicken thing (I think it is called supreme) using two left over cooked chicken breasts, two tins of campbells soup and rice so quick and easy.
Made a loaf in the breadmaker earlier which turned out fine and just realised I used normal plain flour! Is there a reason we should use bread floor? Was I just lucky?
Youll find Im not a natural cook lol!:j0 -
:hello: again
weezl- the recipe for the peanut cookies is actually on here somewhere not completely sure who wrote it but thank you whoever it was they were yum yum yum :rotfl:
and the carrot cake is my own recipe its pretty simple i throw some self raising flour (i would normally use wholemeal but i ran out and couldnt be bothered to go to the shop as i know i would over spend sr works though) alittle caster sugar, people say different kinds of sugar believe me ive tried them all (OH gets me to make carrot cake all the time) they all work i just use whats in the house.... mixed spice and/or cinnamon, about 2-4 carrots (depending on size) 2 eggs and a knob of butter and a little milk if it looks to dry.... i never measure how much, i work on a cup of flour and then just add the rest... o and throw in a hand full of raisins the extra sweetness is lovely :rotfl: xxStill searching .....:)
