skintscotslass - oven hasn't been working well for ages now. I'm getting new cooker in a couple of weeks and think i'll just have to wait until then to cook another batch. The one on the outside are fine - delicious ! Just the middle is a bit more gooey than it should be. Might pop the middle ones back in the oven for a bit. Thanks for all your help (mumzy and scotslass) xx

DD bought a cake book by the Australian Womens Weekly yesterday and made a cake earlier. The cooking instructions were 'bake until cooked' Er, can we have a vague clue on how long?? Its cooling just now and I'm sitting eating fruit to keep myself out of mischief. I have attacked the butter icing tho

Mumzy - did that help or not? I've been trying to get my cousin and her OH to do it (use the Demotivator), but I'm afraid to say I nag them quite a bit about smoking so they dont want to think about the money at the moment.

Mumzy ..... Have put some foil over them and the middle seems to be a bit better now. I think i'll divide the mixture between 2 trays next time so it's not so deep and maybe they will cook better.

Off to update sealed pot thread now that you've slapped me wrists - been a while since I updated hasn't it? lol

Well NSD yesterday :D but today went and got some clothes for DS and DD but didn't get any grocery. Had a mystery shopper assignment so will need to add that as I normally have £5 out of my grocery budget for a cafe treat with DD.

NSD for me. Just as well because I have just over £30 to last me until the 24th. We've also not got anything in the bank - as in we have reached our overdraft limit:eek:

Using up a bolognese from the freezer and making some iced buns using the apple braid recipe. Also making some baps to go in the freezer - will make a change from normal bread.

Anyway, just off to get things organised. DD1 will be back any minute with her friend, then I have to take them swimming tonight.

Have to stop going out...spent €11.67 to-day on mince and soup, ordered by DD2 who is cooking dinner...to be honest was worth it as I am just not in the mood to cook to-day...brings my total spend to €224.45 for March, so €125.55 left in kitty...will stay at home for at least a week!

Thanks for savoury muffin recipes, might try them over the weekend
