  • Hi everyone

MrsMC I would like to allocate £40 again this month although I went over by £20.35 last month due to some unforseen circumstances, was on call over the weekend and did not have enough time to sort out food for 4 days at work lol. This time will be much more organised, so hopefully won't happen again.

Good luck to everyone. Have already spent £21.86 as I started on the 25th but have everything I need now, so am hoping to stay in budget this month.

    Cheers

Here I was thinking I was early in looking for this thread, and we're already on page 6! :)

Mrs M - could you put me in for £175 this month please :D

I went nastily over last month, but it was all in the name of stockpiling, so I'm really hoping this month will be on target. My month runs from 3rd to the 30th, so it's a short one.

    Good luck everyone :)

  • Hi Guys

I think its amazing how little you all seem to spend and how much you get out of it I just hope I can do even a little as well as you do!

Please put me down for £200 for March and fingers crossed that I keep in budget
  • Started my March challenge shopping today as was near Aldi. Not been in there for years but saw the advert for the Super 6 and thought I'd have a look. Picked up all the fruit and veg for this week plus a few meal makers and spent a grand total of £13.54. :j

Next door is a pet food store so popped in after seeing whiskas dried kitten food on offer. Stocked up on that - another 14.45 (with a couple of treats for my parents dog :o )

Got home and realised the budget amounts I got from CCCS as part of DMP don't include pet food so I have £264 for food, cleaning etc and £25 for pets!
Might just manage to come under budget for us 2 leggers ;)

Hi - Can I join in this month please? Did it last month on my own but now feel it's time to stop playing at it and become official. Could you please put me down for £200 for March please? This is for me, OH, 7yr DS, 3yr DD and border collie. My month starts on the 1st of each month. Armed this month with some freezer stuff, cupboard stuff and loads of inspiration from you folks. This budget will include 2 birthday cakes for my DD - one for home and one for nursery, and will aslo have to go to butchers and fish van, don't really want to compramise on meat, fish, chicken - don't eat that much anyway. Go to lidls once weekly and asda or Tesco when I really, really need to! - using a lot more basic brands than previous and will increase this. Not wasting a fraction of the food I used to thanks to all the advice here :T
    Good Luck!

    HI,

Got a bargain from Mr S (at least I thought I did, please correct me if I am wrong) as they were selling 3 energy saving light bulps for 99p.

Just a thought - probably a really silly question but do you all include take aways and/or meals out in your budget? We don't do this much but just wondered
    thanks

We had a our big monthly Mr T delivery, and I bought some stock in Lidl. THe rest has to come from Morrisons tonight.

So far, I have spent £121.06 out of our March budget.

I am also changing from going twice a week to the shops, down to once. See if that makes an difference. Also, I have to update my price list from Lidl/ Mr T. I am sure, I still can save there.

Oh, please I need some help with my bread.

My HM wholemeal bread doesn't seem to rise well. Last night, I have done half/half white and wholemeal. But it is still a very dense bread. It is eatible, just not very nice.

Any ideas, where I am going wrong?
