A few years ago we visited the store in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, it was hammering down with rain and the main entrance was wet on the tile floor. As DS came through the door he slipped and landed with quite a thud. The customer service desk saw this, and the lady came rushing over before I could pick him up. She took him over to the magazines, told him to pick anyone he liked and then gave him some sweets and a can of pop. Really made his day. I think he was about 7 at the time.
Ive never forgotten that incident and I hold that particular store in high respect after how they handled it.
How awful for you! You should have sued!
Sorry, but i had to be the first to say it :rotfl:"On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
why did you conside lambrini to be a sparkiling wine, its a dam perry, is it anywhere near the wines i think not, where is it positioned ? maybe by the ciders by any chance which gives it away as being a non wine product
it maybe not the reply you were expecting but it might help other people who are stuck re lambrini
I refer you to https://www.everywine.co.uk
NV LAMBRINI BIANCO PERRY
"If NV Lambrini Bianco Perry is not the wine you are looking for . . ."
I refer you to this quote because I believe that many people would colloquially refer to Perry as a wine - if there is confusion in average peoples minds then the store should ensure that what is meant is clear to ALL0 -

but the fact lambrini is situated away from the wines says it isnt a wine at all, lambrini is made form pears like cider is from apples whereas wines are made from grapes, see the difference, you werent mislead by sainsburys but by that link you linked to
as quoted from wikipedia "Lambrini is a brand of light perry, manufactured in Liverpool by Halewood International Limited. It has been marketed under the slogan, "Lambrini girls just wanna have fun," and currently dominates the commercial light perry market"0 -

I think you miss my point - what I am saying is not that Perry is wine but that it is commonly thought of as wine by many people. Like peanuts are referred to as nuts where-as they are actually legumes. Also the store may display Perry
alongside corned beef - it doesn't make it tinned meat.
One final point cider is normally drunk out of a tumbler or beer type glass - how many people would drink perry (which comes in a wine type bottle) out of a beer glass? It would normally be drunk by most people from a wine glass!0 -

do you agree that the fact its situated away from the wines means its not a wine, if it was a wine then it would be with the wines, to be honest them people who think perry is a wine should check it out before they buy lambrini thinking its a wine,0 -

It might commonly be thought of as wine, but it isn't; fact. The offer is for wine, therefore it is not included. You do not have reason to complain because you believed a common misconception. Babycham wouldn't be included either on the same basis, and i'm sure you wouldn't drink that out of a pint glass either"On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." you make my point eloquently! perhaps you could persuade Sainsbury's to place peanuts with peas also a fact - got to be absolutely correct!!
why peanuts with peas, peanuts are nuts are they not,
if you want to get a refund on the lambrini then take it back for a refund if you dont drink it0 -
