That is cheap! Shame my Sainsbury's doesn't have that many electrical products.

Havent got that model, but bought a Lodos 28 inch widescreen tv from Sainsburys a year ago for £160. As previously discussed on this site, these models tend to be identical to models from Hitachi, Panasonic etc, just re-branded.
If I was after a tv now, I'd certainly give the above mentioned a go...

There is a Bush 28" ws Tv (no freeview) on offer at Makro at the moment for £99.99 + vat. If you then buy a freeview box separately at Curry's for £29.99, it'll work out cheaper than the integrated one.

any sign of these in stock West Yorks area?

I had a ring around a few but it was taking 20-30 minutes on hold each time while they checked. :(

    cheers
  • Thanks OP, just managed to get one in Wrexham, North Wales. They had about 5 left.

It doesn't do 60Hz, only 50Hz. No good for import games consoles then :(
  • It looks exactly like my Toshiba. Well almost, there's a couple of buttons on my Tosh and seemingly just one of this. My Tosh doesn't have DVB-T tuner (aka Freeview) though. If it is the same tube (and if the majority of the gubbins are the same) then it'll do 60Hz - I say *if* as like I say, it isn't exactly the same TV.

If it is the same tube, you might have to be careful watching bright colours! On my TV the likes of that Sky News banner (a nice shade of bright white!) leaves a discoloured patch which stays for a couple of minutes after you turn over! It looks like the screen burn you get with projection TVs but unlike on them, it does go away.
