Hi all,
Hey bunny - not sure what's getting you down but i agree with the others that some time off and only light household duties are the order of the day!
Wow Bobba! that's a nice payout, but i hope you're not forgetting the lunch log challenge after such a holy week last week! Don't blow it on lunches now!
Y'know folks i was thinking, i haven't seen HBFS for ages... do you think he's too in love to chat these days!? That incident at Heathrow made me think of him last night.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Ooh Maz I was wondering where HBFS is only the other day. Hope he's ok. Sorry forgot to say Morning all ! X ElNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Haha! No chance Maz, honestly - i'm getting saintly pleasures from eating random leftover fridge stuff every day for lunch! Today I have a ham and salad wrap with carrots, celery and 4 baby tomatoes. And a nicely empty vegetable tray at home, so no idea what i'll be eating tomorrow - oh well! x0

22nd..........don't think I'm doing anything although it sounds familiar for some reason........

Well my day of decorating is not going well. so far i've been back to bed, got up, stuffed my face with hm stew and finished off the chocolate that was in the fridge! On a mission0 -
I've just had my new manager call me. They want me to do 4 days (which is fine) but they want me to do Tue - Friday (I'd fancied Mon- Thurs but I guess it is the same thing really). She also wants me to start on 18th not the 17th as she won't be around on that day.
Only thing is, they have asked if I will do 9-1 three days and then 8- 3.30pm on the Friday with a break so I can cover the weekly management meeting and take the minutes.
8-3.30pm is a whole day - not sure if I can cope with that !!   :rotfl: It also means I'll have to use my break each Friday to take Charlie out. I will get an hour so it is long enough to get him and give him a quick once round the block as he is only 2 minutes drive away. I've done it before and it will only be in term time as my ex will be there in the school holidays.
I think it will get a bit of getting used to but I'm sure I'll be fine."Stay Wonky":D

Keren, you could always ask if you could do those hours on a trial basis, to be reviewed again in 6 months? That way you will be able to get a feel for the job, and will know when it is essential that you are there, and when they could manage without you, so you will be able to put forward a good case for any change of hours you want."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I'd prefer to do an 8.30 start on the 3 days (so finish at 12.30pm) so I might ask for that at one of my reviews (I have 3 in the first 6 months) but I think they are keen for me to the full day on Friday so I can minute the managers meeting and then do the minutes immediately afterwards. I am so close, geographically, I might end up kicking my heels until 8.45am in the morning but then again, I'm so out of practice getting up, I might be grateful of a 9am start!
Suddenly feel a bit scared about it all!
She sounds nice though."Stay Wonky":D

Awww Keren it's bound to be a bit scary but just take it one step at a time. You might find you love doing those hours.. if not just talk to your manager. She sounds really nice.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
